What's funny is that the wings on wedges x-wing are more stable when open(because they were made for that body mold). Sadly I don't have the vintage x-wing but I have played with one. And I agree the vintage mechanism is better lol I found it more entertaining/satisfying how one press of a button would instantly open the wings. Very cool feature. Thanks for watching!
Yes the seat is leaning back a lot and will make the figure look like its lying down. However you can position the figure in a more upright seating posture and still have the canopy close.
We recently got vader tie fighter in the TRU exclusive trench run set but im sure you can find plenty of it on ebay (its been re-released a couple times in different packaging) We also got to see Maul's sith interceptor on retail 2012 but if youre lucky you might find one at Marshalls or TJ Max. Sorry for the confusion. I only preferred wedge's x-wing because it came with the pilot an exclusive astromech droid and ladders. I liked it for what it came with not for the mold. The newer molds are amazing when it comes to detail especially the cockpit.
On the original 1977 model, you had to push the astromech down to open S-foils in attack position and you kept it open by pushing a small tab behind the droid forward to keep the wings open. gently bring it back and the S-foils go back to normal configuration. Also, the button on the most rear was for the LED in the nose and a small motor that made a sound. That was the model I used to have. I am missing parts from it.

Yep it's nearly identical to the trench run, which i knew it would be, but even the small bit of additional weathering, the little touches of green and the different signage make it worth it to me. Yeah the floppy wings still suck but otherwise i luv this mold. Really wanting an R2-Q2 for it but they're damn hard to find and really expensive >.
The cannon on the top right wing on my red 3 is warped. Its not aligned with the rest of the cannons. You can easily see it in the beginning of the review. Thanks for watching!

But if it goes on clearence I will probably pick this up then to get with my trench run & Target exclusive Wedge X-Wings, Porkin's fighter gotta be released in the near future, Good review guy & thank you again for your review. Also, I forgot to mention in my video but i used an R8 series droid because in the wookiepedia article about R8 droids, there is an image of the droid I used with an x-wing pilot. The pilot seems to have the same helmet as Biggs.. however the mustache is missing. There isn't any info about the that pic.

HI can you tell me which R2D2 figures will fit in this version of X-wing? Im thinking of using the StarWars Trilogy R2D2 figure, but its 3rd leg doesn't retract, will it still work ? If anybody can give me a some advice on this, I would really appreciate it ..
For my x wing it's the same thing with the cockpit not closing all the way and when I open up the wings the left side in bigger then the other side and it's annoying

I just started collecting the 6" black series line and saw recently that they've been making vintage stuff again which is awesome Because all my star wars stuff was stolen when i was in college. Was thinking about picking this up at my TRU as it's on clearance for 39.98 and they have a ton of them. Should i pick it up?
The 6" black is definitely my favorite line! And seriously? Who would do such a thing :( Definitely pick it up if you like Red III but since there are a lot, there might be a chance it can go lower in price. But I'm not sure at all if that will happen lol it is a possibility
+Jeff Nelson haha yeah, I bought 3 of them and sold 2 on eBay and held on to one. Used the funds I made from those to get a Lego ucs slave 1 and the Lego ucs version of this guy!

i've buyed extra an r2-q2 for 20$ just to have the accurate astromech droid for the pilot.... will it fit in the socket?
