Camino del Norte - Way of St. James by bike - Bike Packing Cycle Tour Spain (#6)

TOUR OF THE WALK / Camino del Norte 1:
Join me on my inspiring journey on the Camino de Santiago through Spain. But before we can set off, we drive from Valencia in our camper to Albarracin, an idyllic village with a rich history and beautiful scenery.
After exploring the village, we make our way to Zaragoza, where we have another stopover. The city is known for its impressive architecture and rich history. Here we experience the vibrant life and let ourselves be enchanted by the beauty and charm of the city.
Finally, we reach Laredo, where we begin the Camino de Santiago. Together with my faithful companion Zuri, I start our first stage and immediately dive into our first adventure. We follow the signs of the Way of St. James and after only 3 kilometers we find ourselves on the beach, where we have to board a small boat with an even smaller plank to continue.
During our ride through the picturesque landscape, it feels like we are on a journey through German agriculture and we enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the surroundings. Later, we drive along the impressive cliffs where deserted beaches stretch out and we feel completely free. But challenges are also part of such a journey and we have a breakdown when we ride over a carabiner. Fortunately, the bike remains undamaged, at least for the time being, and we can continue.
Unfortunately, we miss the last ferry and finally find a small restaurant where we order the only vegetarian meal and the waiter shows us a deserted beach where we can safely spend the night. Let's set off together and experience this wonderful journey on the Camino de Santiago!

In 2022, it's off to Spain for me and Zuri.
Join me and my faithful companion Zuri on our inspiring journey on the Camino del Norte, the Way of St James from Laredo to Santiago. We embarked on this adventure even though we knew that the path was often very difficult and not always suitable for cycling. But the magnificent scenery and wild landscapes were worth the challenges.
The Camino del Norte is one of the most challenging routes on the Way of Saint James, running along the northern coast of Spain. The path is known for its steep climbs, rough terrain, and wild weather, but also for its breathtaking beauty and incomparable landscapes.
On our way, we visited many unique places and had unforgettable experiences. We talked to locals, learned about their stories and traditions, and always met new challenges. We explored the spectacular beaches of the Cantabrian Sea and visited many medieval towns and villages on our way to Santiago.
The Camino del Norte is challenging, but it is also a beautiful journey full of adventure, freedom, and joy.
We traveled on our bike trip with a Burley BarkRanger XL dog trailer and a Kalkhoff Entice 5.b Advance + e-bike.
