What was the deciding factor in using this halberd, over the other choices
Long story short, I’m simply a fan of the traditional/accurate medieval look of this weapon.
It does get good strength scaling on heavy infusion, but I don’t notice too much of a difference between banished knights halberd. Plus, banished has better reach. Overall, either Night rider glaive or commanders standard are the best options for strength builds.
I love the big spike on this halberd, it looks brutal to get impaled by that
Idk if you knew this but jumping r2 true combos into r1 with all poke halberds. I see you’re trying to make use of giant hunt tho. Killer video as always

@@Razz150 oh yea it still works. Don’t sleep on commanders standard with this. U can make a quality build around 150 and delete ppl with the combo. Makes sure you got an offhand rapier or something to help finish ppl. It’s also the longest halberd in the game. Dragon knight halberd gets a roll catch if you land the combo and do it’s spinning slash.
Not sure if you'd want to try it but i was running a build with Halberd + Braggarts Roar and the spear talisman( I think, just the one that boosts counter attacks). Trading a charged r2 with the Braggarts Roar moveset can deal more than 1100 damage. The second r2 can come out surprsingly fast as well. Pretty good for forcing trades.
I’ve actually got a video on that same set up. It’s called “A new era has come” and was put out 6 months ago. I agree, it’s an absolute monster of a set-up.
