I was pretty sure to buy the pro2 , glitter surf green…….after your video ….i just came home with my vintage 2 surf green!! Greetings from Milan, Italy
This video is awesome. Thanks for the info and the love. I'd watch one of these a week to see how you tackle different guitars (let's be honest, none of us have just one).
This is a useful video - I just got a new tele that I've been too lazy to setup, . That fingerboard is so beautiful - even cooler with the old school dots. Thanks Dylan!
Would this also apply to an American professional ii? Obviously not everything but I notice some similarities. Thanks! And I love these kind of videos. They are always too short or not informative enough
If you have a few low nut slots, you can do the baking soda-super glue trick or stewmac sells a kit (basically the same thing) to fix individual slots. Don’t have to install a whole new nut. Also, the treble strings need less nut clearance than the bass strings, so you can do .012”-.015” on the treble strings and .020” on the wound strings, they needn’t all be the same height.
Setting the action on a guitar with a compound radius is something I’d like to see. Basically I’d like to know how to figure out how flat the radius of the bridge should be.
Who is considered the big dogs these days? So much of the production is done at the contract level, I feel it goes beyond brand to separating via premium lines vs cost reduced overseas production. Some years ago, I got a tour of the Samick production facility in Incheon. Most of the cheap production stuff had already been moved to Indonesia but has since been all moved to China. Kind of a shame as the Incheon plant did some really nice work. I saw a lot of names on headstocks that surprised me. Cheap guitars have certainly gotten better but have the premium ones improved and by how much?

Thanks for asking. Fender Stratocaster w/floating bridge and Squier Baritone Paranormal Telecaster. Keep the knowledge coming.

Good basic stuff with all the details. Thanks!
I really look forward to seeing if you have some cool tricks for intonating a Floyd.
Thanks Dylan. Now it would be nice to get a video on how to set up a Les Paul

Dylan…you are 100% correct…I set my necks straight and let the string tension pull just a tiny bit of relief into the neck…works perfect 👍
I'd love to see you deep dive jazzmasters, especially the gdmf tremolo!

Moisturizing vs hydration. I drink lotion to stay hydrated. 😂
Can you do a set-up with that sideways vibrato commonly seen on a SG?

@@DylanTalksTone Why does it sound so bad then?
@@matt926uk1 Because your ears don't like that sound.
