- I thought it was probably time to try out Civilization VI. You know, to see what it's like.
I did pretty well in my Civ V videos so I expected things to go smoothly. Can Gandhi build a civilization that will stand the test of time?

5 hours later, a barbarian camp spawned a nuclear submarine while I was inventing canons.

@@sethberry2162 Most likely due to a nearby civ having high science and being way ahead of Storiaron, thus the barb camp had similar tech to the nearby civ.
@@BuonoTorta and to be fair I exaggerated it too, i was at ww1-2 level techs. Still was funny being outteched by barbarians
It's okay, I got Arabia for my first game of Civ 6 and ended up with warrior monks. Norway hated me because I didn't know how to build boats and Cleo murdered my warrior monks with musketmen. Got her with war carts in the tutorial though.

Haha I was torn between JFK and weird Trump impression. Not necessarily the pitch or tone for the latter, but the accent and clunky way of speaking hit me as Trump and JFK, mixed, somehow. 😂 I know this is old, but it's funny.

I actually really like the way civ vi increases difficulty- instead of making the ai much better it just makes it *pissed* and starts it off like 50 turns ahead of you. When it's structured like that and they don't get any extra stuff over the course of the game it feels like you're overcoming huge odds stacked against you, instead of just.. having a better player beat the shit out of you.
@@theevilmoppet oh wow. I actually have the exact opposite opinion. I prefer losing to a harder AI rather than just losing to unbalanced starts. Cheers though

As a long-time Civ VI player, there's so many things here that physically pain me - settling the capital on that plains tile, yield icons not being turned on, leaving that tribal village goodie hut right by your borders for ages, just so much. But that all just adds to the fun really, haha.

Your content is wayyy too good. I'd say 3 months max is when you'll reach your first 100k subscribers. Like honestly, this was fun to watch and given your previous videos playing CIV 5, this was obviously not some fluke. I'm not saying you should quit your job or anything, but in 3 months, I imagine that'd probably become a more real consideration. I look forward to watching you grow. Oh, and after you reach that first 100k, consider getting a better computer? There were some moments in the video where it felt a bit laggy but overall it was okay. Actually, in a way, it actually added some charm to the video. Maybe you should consider keeping that "aesthetic" even after you upgrade your equipment. Lol, anyways, GOOD LUCK!

Just so you know, the reason that the lake is a natural wonder is because in real life its in the center of a volcano, but the model in this game just makes it look like a lake rather than a mountain.
if you are ever displeased by the gameplay of civ 6, remember, a civ game is greatly augmented with dlc on
Yeah, game cheats super hard on Deity. They start with extra settlers, free techs, and other goodies. Deity is all about catch up.
