Harley messed up big time by cancelling these. Im still hoping deep down theyre going to be like "yeah that was just bad times we are spooling the factory back up" because a lotta stuff is junk and a big old 1200 with character that breaks the rules is exactly what we are missing in the world. The sportster line is the only thing that competed against the indian acout man because they did a good job on that but so it costs more. Uts a better bike in many ways but this doesnt even have coolant bro uts a simpler bike it is more affordable arguably longer lasting how there is such simplicity. Jrs a shame they cancelled it and replacer it with 3 different bikes no one wants. Although i think cancelling the dyna series was a bad move at first but they also moved the models to the softtail series so i think that worked out for the better. The sportster though, man its wild i cant get an iron 1200 from harley today. Whats sad is they closed the closest dealer to me and i have mixed feelings about dealers, but to me it seems like closing stores and cancelling good bikes and repalcing them with bad isnt good moves for harley. Theyre lucky they have the softtail series and the streetglide. This was like a real harley though. If it was me in charge of harley id bring back the sportsters how they were, id keep the softail the street glide, id cancel the lifewire the nightster and weird sportster s. Then after a little bit things turn around and get vetter bevause less resources sucked up so more csn be focused on the big hitters and then id start doing after the competition knocking out the things like the tenere 700 because you can make a bike with that kinda engine that will sound good and will be more easy to call a real harley. I just dont like how the compamy has been mismanaged into the ground. Whoever ran the place did a bad job imo. Theyre a pushover with no testicles probably if I had to guess. Whoever made the call to cancel the sportster should be on a wall of shame in the harley davidson headquarters 😂 look at this historical relic bro how can you cancel that factory if it was still up and running?! That had to have been a sweet factory. Nope instead they give us a nightster and i just dont feel like its an actual real bike.
