Keep up the good work.I really do enjoy your videos. The Family moved from Grimsby in 1970 to Australia. Have not been back for over 30 years now . Still miss the place every now and then. I am glad there is someone sticking up for the town.
I am from Coventry and regularly stay at the St James hotel and always have a good time around the pubs, Tivoli, Old Lloyd Arms, Parity, Barge etc ' and of course Pepys and the hotel restaurant is really nice, good stuff, train return to Cleethorpes couple of quid reurn, great video m8
Cheers Ian I turned 58 today I left town back when I was 34 to emigrate to America so as always this was a blast from the past, cheers, I still wonder if you’ll be going down humberstone road sometime if you do there’s a house on the corner of humberstone road and Columbia road number 132 i believe you can rent it now but that was where I grew up, behind it is another smaller house it used to be to be our garage and shed, if you go down there I’d love it if you got a shot of it, cheers mate
Eleanor Street School aka as Technical School I started to learn to swim there in the 70s Horrible place and horrible teachers! They ducked us purposely underwater as part of our 'lessons' When we stopped going there and moved to 'Scaffa Baffs' it was much better. We were taught properly and I loved it and looked forward to the next week to continue to learn to swim. Great video - keep them coming 😊
@@willmitchell255 Thanks for watching much appreciated. Sounds horrible duckling today get arrested and sacked. I learned at scaffa baths too sadly gone.
My Grandad worked on the Pontoon as a Foreman for many years. I rarely worked there when I was an electrical apprentice, I didn't like it. I have driven all around there though over the years, but never went up the tower!
@@thefuzz1172 Thanks for watching much appreciated. This Saturday it’s docks open day. I did hear that might be opening up the tower how true that is I don’t know. Thanks again
