    • @foodfetish4776

      Bc prison strips you of all humanity and restricts you to the barebones. So even if its something as mundane as wiping the floor, at least u have something u can control in that environment. And of course all you have is time in there, so why not make it clean where ur gonna be spending 23 hours of every day inside that room.

      @@foodfetish4776 Thanks, I guess. I wasn't saying I didn't understand why they do it. While your more academic explanation sounds good, I think it has more to do with the fact that you're sharing it with other men, and therefore want them to clean as much of "them" off of it as they can.

    2:10 to the guy in orange: In california you cannot. You are required to be up and programming from roll call at like 4am to 10pm. Your mat needs to be rolled (most places) and shoes on. For the whole day. You can sometimes break protocol depending on the situation, like the northerners keep a person on point all night, usual multiple people, so they usually sleep during the day once all their people are awake. They usually keep people on point to watch for surprise raids, to see if anyone else shows up at night(thats usually when they do transfers) or to watch for any unusual behavior.

    10:40 where i was wed say no shoes in the 'driveway' that way you can step out of bed onto the clean floor in socks, and then at the end of the 'driveway' (the walkway between the two racks) youd have a towel as a marker and then your sandals on the other side. Essentially like not wearing shoes inside your home

    The problem with the top bunk is, you're exposed to the lights right in your face, climbing up and down sucks (especially if you're trying to not bother the person on the bottom), heat rises so it's usually really hot on the top bunk (especially in a little cell), risk of falling off (remember the beds are very very small) and lastly the top bunk can be used against you in an attack (one second you're in a deep sleep, the next you're falling 6+ feet into concrete, you're probably losing that fight). Those are the main negatives I can remember, the only other things against it would be all the positives of the bottom bunk.

    • @Lemmyywinkz
      @Lemmyywinkz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ZMan1471 Absolutely, usually that'll happen in big open dorms where you can be on both sides of the bunk.

    Of course Woody would be the prison bitch. They'd have him doing all of their chores for free by the end of his first week in.

    They keep their floors clean for more reasons then just piss on the floor. Its cause there's a lot of dust and hair and stuff building up on the floor. Especially in dormitories. Well, even in cell living. Cleaning the floor with shampoo and a floor towel is part of a convicts everyday routine in lock up.

    I love how they try to justify there preference of being on top bunk when any person that's ever been locked up knows that bottom bunk is the shit. Going from top bunk to bottom is a great feeling.

    Army infantry here; skilcraft is the most abysmal toilet paper made by man kind.
    Also, some guy in my basic training, sunshine, would charge $2 dollars to make a bed and everyone would happily pay per day, that's $14 a week for us math buffs
