    Thanks- especially for the part numbers. That's what I needed and this video had it all. I have a Lincoln Square Wave machine at home that came with a 9, which is now a water cooled 20, but I have an ESAB Rebel 205 at work with a basically new 17 torch. I can't bring myself to tossing the 17 yet, so the stubby gas lense is the closest I can get to what I have. I may go to a 20 with a cooler anyway but it's worth giving this a shot first. Side note- it seems silly to have a water cooler on a 200 amp class machine, but those 9 torches get stupid hot on max amps even with a 20% duty cycle. Hotter at the head than I want my thinly gloved fingers on, and I like to hold them all sorts of ways depending on the weld. The 20 just stays cool and you don't have to think about it. The 17 torches can take a bit more heat, so hoping to get some miles out of the stubby setup first. It's worth throwing a few bucks at, and I already have 9/20 consumables on hand.

    Great content you're sharing. I've just recently gotten into TIG welding as well and being able to see the puddle was one of my main issues. Instead of the cheater lenses that are often recommended - I've been using reading glasses on top of my contacts. This has made a huge difference in my welds. Thanks for the ideas and keep em coming.

      Sounds like you are getting it figured out. Just like you, once I started using the cheater lenses, my welds improved a lot. Thanks for the input!

      In case you never did, get yourself one of the newer auto darkening hoods. I went to a Lincoln Viking 3350 4C (own 3 of them actually) but the Jackson offering is stupid clear tech as well. I have a hard time putting any of my other hoods back on- it's that much better. They're pricey, but buy once, cry once.

    Hey man.. Bought my 1st Tig torch this week.It's great to find channels like urs bcos it explains a lot in far more detail which is very hard to get from other channels.. Thanks for that man.. Is there any chance u could do a video about the Argon set up and the best fitting/regulator,etc.. Now that is a video I need to watch before I begin to weld Tig.. Also a video about the tungsten and the best ones and this filler wire as well bcos I don't really know where to begin my bro..

      Glad the video helped you out. I don't know if or when I will get to the videos you are mentioning I'm pretty busy with other projects and videos at the moment. Stay with it and get all the practice you can and you will be able to learn to TIG weld. It's a great process and you can really build some neat things with it.

    Thanks for the video just learning tig I have a lift start and just now can make a decent bead flat and on angle joint but having trouble with keeping tungsten clean I am not dipping it in the puddle it just gets boogered up quick maybe my metal is just to dirty.

      Nice! My tungsten gets boogered up pretty quickly too. I'm using 2% ceriated tungsten because I bought a couple packs and I still haven't used them all up. The next time I buy tungsten I think I'll try the Layzr tungsten from weldmetalsonline.com It's supposed to be pretty good stuff. I happen to have an affiliate account with them. If you decide you want to buy some from weldmetalsonline you can use my discount code and get 10% off anything they sell. (DIYHP10%) Have fun learning to TIG weld, I'm having a blast with it! 👍👍👍

    I bought a whole kit off of Amazon that has different sizes and it has glass cups in it. I can't remember how many pieces are in the kit, but it's a nice kit that comes with a lot of pieces. It also has the stubby top pieces, one really short, then the next size up. I believe the kit was $49 off of Amazon, which was sold by Yeswelder and shipped by Amazon?

    im trying to figure out how to add a ck torch to that yeswelder 250p. any suggestions on what adapters/parts are needed?

    • @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10
      @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10  ปีที่แล้ว

      I read somewhere that CK is now making a tig torch or torch adapter that will fit the YesWelder 250P. I don't know any more than that but I would check with CK or a CK dealer and they should be able to help you with that.

  • @MultiTman1000
    @MultiTman1000 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would gladly go to a CK stubby setup except that the connection on the Vevor tig 210P does not fit the CK power hose. It is a 16*mm x 1.5 thread male on the machine and the CK hose is also male with some other thread. If anybody knows how to adapt between the two? PLease let me know! Just wondering how you did that? I am not familiar with the Yeswelder connections.

    One question, do those green O ring pyrex cup work?

  • @tunichtgut5285
    @tunichtgut5285 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thanks for the video. I have a CK TL26 torch. So far I have only used the standard setup, no gas lens. The TL26 uses WP26/SR26 consumables. However the insulator ring is CK specific - the WP26 insulator ring doesn't fit. CK prices are very high and CK is hard to get here in Germany. I assume that I only have to order the insulator ring from CK and then buy a stubby kit for a WP26/SR26 torch. Can you confirm that?

    • @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10
      @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tunicht, I am using the WP26 insulator that came in this cheap stubby kit on my WP26 torch and it has worked fine for my WP26 torch so far. Yes, if your torch needs the CK insulator you can buy that then just buy a stubby kit for a WP26 torch. That should work I believe. Good luck to you and happy welding.

    Nicely done Thank You. Sadly the Stubby lens do not take a new full length tungsten rod so you have to cut it ,
    i shall make my own back cower 25 mm longer, one thing that a beginner really need are the settings on different materials start current, AC balance and Slope down many companies selling cheap Chinese machines only make some videos with some kind off pling- pling background music and no really information round the settings 🤢

    Can you put a flex head TIG torch on the Yeswelder MIG 250 Pro TIG Torch? Are they replaceable on all TIG Torches?

    • @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10
      @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would think you could but I don't know for sure. I don't have a TIG torch for my YesWelder MIG 250 Pro. I suppose it would depend on what TIG torch you buy for the machine.

      Hey Antonio, I think I might have a couple of scrap pieces of 1/4" aluminum I could use for a video. I don't have much but it might be enough to do a short fillet weld. It will be interesting too because I have never welded 1/4" aluminum before. I'll see what I can come up with after I finish my project installing new outlets in my garage.

    Just used your code to buy mine, the website said 2 week back order I hope it’s less. Anyway how is that new torch head working? I read a review on amazon that said his flexhead was cracking.
    The deciding factor for the Yeswelder Tig250p for me was 5amp tig and there website said works with 6010. For an Everlast welder to do the same thing cost 3 times the price. My 40year old Miller Thunderbolt ac/dc and 6010 welds scrap steel with very little cleanup, big timesaver!

      Thank you Les and congratulations! I think you are going to really like the machine. The new torch head has been real nice so far. I've used it quite a bit and I don't have any cracking on the new head. I am curious to know how it welds 6010 rods. I have wanted to buy some 6010 and try it out but I have not done that. It sure does nice with 6013 and 7018 rods.

    Thanks for info. I haven't actually figured out the type of one piece tig gas connector on the front panel of my 250p in order to use a different torch. Are you using an adapter, or the hose from the original YesWelder wp-26 ?
    BRW - Elizabeth, Colorado

    • @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10
      @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know what type of one piece tig gas connector it is either. I'm using the hose that came with the welder and installed the WP-26F (flex head) onto the stock hose. It would be nice to have a CK super flex hose but they aren't cheap. If I ever need to replace the original hose, that's probably what I will replace it with if I can find the proper fitting or adapter.
