My maternal grandmother came from Jurva to America in 1911 - she lived at Nervijoenkla, Jurva Finland. So nice to see a wonderful film of the area. Her name was Hilda Alina Wainionpaa.

Nervijoenkla,do you mean Närvijoki? My parents are from there,moved to Sweden 1971,just 2 months before i was born....have relatives in Ontario,Canada too,moved from Närvijoki in the fifthies....

I just found out my paternal great grandmother was from Jurva and came to the US in 1922. Not a lot of records on her but I hope to visit one day here. Her name was Viena Katajamaki.
