  • The conversation of race in American society isn't going away, as there is still much to talk about and a lot of healing left to do. Critical Race Theory seems to find itself at the center of much of that conversation. Whether you applaud restrictions on CRT or see those restrictions as masking a real issue, knowing what CRT is can be very important. Author and Speaker Neil Shevni has his PHD in Chemistry but has taken up the task of helping Christians understand Critical Race Theory. He joined Bobby back in 2020 for a live discussion, answering questions such as:
What is the difference between Critical Theory and Critical Race Theory? What is the worldview that unpins Critical Race Theory, and is that worldview compatible with Christianity? How does CRT work? And many other important topics.

In a world where Christianity no longer makes sense this channel exists to show that it still does. As a pastor/apologist and one who was a near apostate after suffering through his own season of gut-wrenching doubt, Bobby now seeks to make sense of Christianity, by helping thoughtful believers resolve doubts when presented to them about (1) God, (2) the Bible, (3) Morality, (4) the Church, and (5) Culture.
    Our Creed
    We believe God is Triune,
That Scripture is our final authority
    That Jesus is God incarnate
That humans are sinful and in need of redemption
That humans can only be reconciled to God by grace through faith
That Jesus is our redeemer who atoned for our sins on the cross
That Christ rose from the grave and is coming again in bodily form!

I love it when folks who aren't #ADOS want to talk about #ADOS issues. CRT originally was about the difference between expectations and outcomes in getting the American Descendants of Slavery #ADOS out from under the impact of their former status as chattel slaves and a racial subclass. Like everything else, including Civil Rights legislation and Affirmative Action programs, what was intended to improve the lot of American blacks gets expanded and diluted until it benefits everyone BUT American Descendants of Slavery.

Well stated, but approaching it like a belief system is dangerous. It's not a matter of "let's be CRT believers" but does the analysis correctly map out a working system? The answer will determine the next step.
CRT is SCARY to people. That's why they are opposed to it. So they demonize it in an attempt to make it undesirable to the masses so that they won't have to deal with the implications on a grand scale.
The wild thing about it is that Christianity began with this same opposition for similar reasons. But these anti-CRT-ers seem to be assisting government offices in their attempt to discredit an accurate analysis of what is essentially a governmental critique. They seem to have forgotten what it was really all about and have chosen the status quo of the easy road.
It's like a hostage taker putting a bag over the hostage's head so that it will be easier to pull the trigger.

Is hatred and preaching a different gospel compatible with Christianity?
