What an awesome concert! I saw them first in Topeka, Kansas in 1987. They headlined over Loudness and TNT! They even tossed bibles out i the crowd! it was awesome. Stryper Bibles! I would have loved to have been close enough to get one! They STILL rock today!
It's so cool to see. Tim at his best. Rocking around like a superstar, while Michael and Oz do a great job on guitar. Robert always keep the rhythm great. Memories. Stryper is still a cool band, but this os history.👍💛🖤💛🖤
I was the Prez of the Stryper FC Philadelphia Chapter from 1988 until recently restructured....still very close with them, hung out with them last night. I remember the day I got this July 1990..,I was sooo beyond happy I saw them on this tour Nov 29, 1988. When Robert drums spun...ong I went crazy. They put so much money into this tour ...THEY LOST money .
I still remember the disappointment of hearing M. Sweet doing playback. I understand that IGWT is almost impossible to sing, but still, it was the album tour!
Wow, that’s a young Stryper. They were riding high at that time just before they fall. Michael said that they Took an artistic adventure, but made the mistake of allowing people to question their faith. I have a feeling they thought they could do no wrong, and that’s what brought them down. Anyway, I’m a big fan. I have every album except against the law, which was the one that killed the band at that time. Well, grunge was right around the corner and the hair rock band is coming to an end anyway.
What does this mean "STRYPER visited Japan at the heyday of the 1980’s, three times in 1985, 1987, 1989. The first visit to Japan will be the official video “LIVE IN JAPAN”, the second time you can taste plenty with the main album “CALLING OVER YOU”. That is the third time to worry."??? Calling Over You isn't an album
It's a shame that they got overlooked as a band. I get telling the word of Jesus and all that, but why so much of it? It's the reason they only got just so far in the music business. A lot of their fans recognized that the music was great, we just aren't into the whole Christian thing. It does get tiresome, and it makes us uncomfortable.
The same thing that kept me from buying any Slayer album. I recognized their great musical abilities but didn´t want to hear to their insane texts ("die by my sword" and so on). And I don´t care if Tom Araya goes to the church on Sundays (he does). In general I prefer instrumental music.
Michael still has the same power in his voice today! Glory to God !
Well there are some of us who love the message in their music.
So awesome ❤... praying for Michael's health battle. Hopefully God willing he can continue singing for Jesus.

Wow I thought it was not possible to sing IGWT the same as in the record but Michael did it here!
Because he's not singing it. It's playback.
I seen Stryper open up for slayer at the Reseda Country Club😊
Talk about opposites... Lol

The same for many bands that lead their music into untichristianity
were have you been Overlooked???
Christ is everything.
