“I just want to play out a game” - Amy and everyone else who plays discard decks. I personally understand my favorite commander is Tergrid but I also get why they scoop early it’s absolutely miserable playing against too many discard decks. I currently have the deck in my collection still but I’m stowing it for now because it was literally ruining my closest friendships
If you are talking about EDH then in my experience tergrid is different to a lot of discard commanders because it leads to games where you are either keeping tergrid on board and you win via supervalue, or you sit there and play discard spells to fill turns between tergrid getting removed and countered. I'd play something like kroxa as a discard-commander personally because imo, even though tergrid is awesome conceptually, it's just too strong for mid power tables and not strong enough for cedh.
@grip7777 there’s no group for me to play cedh for real at my store but I play relatively high power level I can tell because the last time I went to a big event they were called Grand Prix or GP’s and the tables playing commander felt extremely casual by comparison to my local groups. Black has ways of keeping tergrid going unless they have rest in peace. Get you a Volrath’s Stronghold to keep it going they’ll run out of interaction eventually.
@@grip7777 you would think but most of the interaction I run into is like Counterspell locks and silly high power stuff like teferi knowledge pool the land hate is usually teferi’s pro Armageddon /ravages typically countered obviously strip mine/wasteland is typically hitting valakut or depths used to see more play but since lands are such an issue it switched to board clears mostly.
At 20:00 that untapped Fiery Islet is just Arena absolutely refusing to tap the painland. They may have had a wash away in hand but more likely than not its just arena's allergy to tapping painlands,
I’ve been running Witness Protection in a lot of my decks for massive threats and I’ve found that this Tinybones deserves becoming a legitimate businessman more than many other cards I see lately
i just went on a 20 game losing streak with this deck, i'm interested to know your stats with it, i like discard/aggro decks but this one cant seem to hang
I make custom cards and recently made an elden ring set. One of the cards was St. Trina, and it has almost the exact same abilities as this new tinybones. I think wotc stole my idea 😂
When hitting the opponent with Rankle while they have no cards in hand, would it be possible to order Rankle's triggers so that you force them to draw 1/lose 1, then immediately discard the card they just drew?

That sucks man, cause it seems like a high power table should be able to handle tergrid and have enough grave and/or landhate to stop recursion loops.
