Im only a 21 year old dude and this music certain isnt apart of my generation but Mary you were super fine back then and still got it, hell ya! always love your music. thanks!
Hey Mary, Im 16 and have this record and it sounds so good and you still do, it has that attitude that everyone likes, you are definitly the best female group and artist of the 50`s and 60`s. love your songs and thanks for sharing. Now im gonna go play it again. Great Job
Look how trim she stayed! And the voice is still there. Great to see and hear her again, a singular talent in so many ways. Everyone in the record business thought the group was crazy, very tough girls for the time. There were four of them but often three performed and which three changed around. But the hits kept coming and the records are now true legends.
Hello, Mary - It's Rosanne (then Bonvicino) from Cambria Heights! We all followed your group and were so-o-o proud of you, Betty, Margeurite and Maryann. In 2006, I attended a doo-wop concert with "The Shangri-Las" (which I KNEW would have to be fakes). We had reserved seats by the aisle where the entertainers come in - when they left the stage, I reached out and told them "how dare you say these songs made YOU famous in the 60's?" They were very embarrassed - and rightly so. God bless.
It's amusing to me that some of these posts seem to reveal that people don't understand that Mary WAS the lead vocalists from most of the Shangri-Las' hits. Yes, she nails it, sandrovic1970, but she always did. Did you think it was an Aerosmith song? And joesten63, she's not just giving her version of the Shangri-Las classic. She IS one fourth of the classic Shangri-Las!
Yes. Too bad they didn't sing together on the telethon, but Mary was great. I loved the interview where Mary was talking about the Reigning Sound and the Stepford Husbands as though they were household names.

Her new husky voice occupies the song much more authoritatively than the original (much as I love it).
Good performance, sounding great as ever.
Wow she blow my mind! She still sounds the same I love it! Time to have Tour Mary!

@Timmybear I agree. No more teen angst. She sounds like she has more experience to back up what she is singing about. She looks great too.

I love that Mr. Orlando is actually holding a vinyl copy while promoting the CD or download. How about saying: 'Or buy the vinyl?' (which I did)
