Hi Sukanya, there are a few ways to control your environment with the Eyegaze Edge®. For starters, you can connect what is called a UIRT, which is basically a universal IR remote controller. So anything with a IR receiver can be controlled. However, the best way to control your environment is to have an Amazon echo, google, or apple smart home device. Once you have one of those, you can purchase anything that is compatible with them to control your environment. Our Eyegaze Edge® can communicate with the smart home devices by verbal command. Some users create phrase pages so they can quickly select what they want to do with their environment. For making phone calls, a user can sync any Android based phone to the Eyegaze Edge® with the purchase of an app off the google play store. Once you have the app, you can call or text using your Android cell phone as well as send emergency text alerts to a caregiver or a loved one. Unfortunately, you can't sync an iphone to our device however there is a new app on our software that allows users to use WhatsApp which is the only known way to use an iphone with the device.
