Ang ganda ng review :) overall ang summary dahil dikit nga ang laban and yung ibang criteria ay subjective, ang masasabi ko, if you want a car and you're thinking of yourself as a driver first and foremost and secondary thought ang passengers, then go for the almera. But if you're buying a car while really considering what your passengers would feel, then go for the honda city. It all comes down to, are you buying for yourself or for others.

this is the best review so far i've seen in ur channel. looks for the almera. pangit ng city. good point sa value for money in fuel type. as observed ko sa old 2004 AT civic pag ni lagyan ko ng shell v power fuel 3 trips lng sa p500, pero sa other cheap gas brands 5 trips per p500. maybe because it has low octane rating yun cheaper gas. it can run ave 10.2km/L at 50 - 60kph mas tipid pa sa new almera. 😂 subok na ang city over time. good choice din almera as alternative. di nyu na test ang paddle shifters. cguro ma compensate ni city ang acceleration imo.
City RS : no turbo, RS badge is a deception kit lang yan, kesyo may paddle shifter eh ano naman? Almera : kahit base model, may turbo. Rooting for MT review na turbo.
Kaya nakaturbo si Almera kasi 3 cylinder lang na 1.0 yung engine displacement. So the turbo compensates for the reduced engine. Mas tipid siya sa gas though so ok din.
ang turbo hindi advantage yan. Look at the Power output. 99hp vs 121hp? Given mas tipid pa ang HOnda CIty nyan at 95 octane ang kailangan mong isalpak sa almera, sa City RS Unleaded lang. matipid na murang gas pa. Also maybe you forgot about JATCO CVT's, tas turbo pa. hahaha
@@Adrian-rt8se Actually, point taken sir. I made the comment before watching the vid, didn't realize na iba octane grade ng gas between the 2 cars. So yeah, City na lang. Plus, pag turbo kasi more complex yung design ng engine so more susceptible na masira. Sometimes, the simpler the better. I have a City 2018 myself and I would say it's more than enough for city driving and the occasional out of town drive kahit full passengers and trunk load kaya.
Watching this comparo although I already have the City RS. The rear aircon, black headliner, and fuel economy of the City outshines the tech features of the Almera imo. I don’t know if the rear aircon of the City somehow matches or compensates for the cold aircon of the Almera. Over-all, this video is entertaining and fun to watch. I don’t feel info overload despite the length. Thank you sirs!
The smaller cabins of subcompacts don't necessitate the use of rear aircon vents. Even some compact & midsize sedans don't have nor need it. Just increase the fan speed & lower the thermostat if you want to cool down the entire cabin quickly.
You both forgot to mention the Honda City's driving advantage with the CRUISE CONTROL and PADDLE SHIFTERS. Did you not mention that both cars have sporty looks? Therefore the City's additional feature will be truly a big ADVANTAGE to consider in looking for a more sportier compact vehicle ... Overall, in and out, i prefer the Honda City over the Almera. (Not to mention the resale value, still 🤔)
using mine for 9 months now. if you're on the lookout for a subcompact sedan, highly recommend this one. it's a fun car to drive, very peppy even with the smaller engine thanks to that turbo. especially fun driving on expressways. fuel economy has been around 9-12 km/l in the city on speeds ranging between an average of 25-50kph. On mixed to highway driving, i usually get 18-23 km/l. CVT is also great, 95% of the time there is no delay. Only very seldom when the car seems to not move as soon as you depress the accelerator. PMS cost is also quite cheap. PS. If you're around Laguna/Quezon, avoid Nissan Lipa dealership as they have poor customer service and it took 6 months before I got my freebies and 8 months before I got my LTO license plate.
special mention sa new good look ng almera and mas gusto ko ung look ng manibela and ayos din ung around view monitor. Still personally prefer the honda tho; sana lang may around view monitor din.

The almera is better now but still not enough for the city. Yeah it has 360 camera but seriously, for a car that small, you don't need that. They could've improved other aspects of the car, if they did, it doesn't really show. Having a turbo I3 engine, it should've been more fuel efficient than the city, which has larger body dimensions by the way. This really says alot about the quality of the engine and tranny of Honda.
What's the mileage on that Almera? Hindi pa ata na break-in engine niyan kaya medyo mababa pa fuel economy. Yung 120hp kuno nung City 1.5L engine is unachievable naman in real-world driving dahil it's reached at 6600rpm. The ECU won't even let you reach that RPM on neutral! It's measured at the crank in the laboratory with no engine load.
