You actually don't even need to start the car to drain the rest of the fluid from the return line, all you'd need to do is turn the steering all the way from left to right a couple times and the fluid will run out from the rack through the return line itself due to the main line being pressurized. That way you won't risk damaging the power steering pump in any way possible.
If ur using maruti800. In these era we use power steering.
