Yo I think I saw you guys the other day! Couple.of guys with a nice looking camera. Funny thing, I was there for the same-ish reason. Wanted to see the mall of my childhood before it boarded up. Crazy how time flies....
I have been there off and on for the last 7-8 years, and I personally had the feeling it was in trouble. Which is sad, I would go to the Macy's and even the JC Penney up until they closed. But an interesting thing to note is that the maps haven't been upgraded since the four anchors were there, as seen in one of the pictures towards the end.
I see it in the forums sometimes, but the mall lose three anchors over two years ago now and Macy's is almost gone, so something big would have to happen to get them to change. It's a beautiful mall, almost as beautiful as White Flint was (Lord and Taylor's old spot is a personal favorite of mine.
Had it both. But then, you’ll find a TH-cam video where a guy got told to stop at the very start and then another guy just roller blade through the mall. Just be careful
Always thought the skylights were so neat here
It's sad the mall is dead but I find these genre of videos so relaxing
Thank you, I hope you enjoyed! I will likely upload another video in the coming week or two

Sorry, it’s just me right now. I am going back though, so maybe we’ll catch each other then.
My childhood just died.
Same. Loved going there pre-2011 when it was still busy (moved out of MontCo June 2011)
I lived there some twenty plus years ago and that mall us to be so busy said to see it dead

Rest in power king
So are any stores still open in there??? Doesnt look like it
There is a tax prep store by the elevators, a clothing store, the Macys that is soon to be gone, and one or two other small stores. Not much though.
Very sad
Where are the cititzens to fight to restore Lakeforest Mall to its former glory?

I’m planning on going to film on the 31st. How’s the rent a cops there? Harassing people or don’t care?
