Even when you find someone you love, they lie; either by omission, or out right lying...and for what I still don't understand. Why would you keep a friend a secret from your girlfriend? Why would you keep ANYTHING of significance, from the person you love? He's a jerk for saying, "... I wanted to tell you slowly...", about WHAT if it's so innocent? However, the fact that he keeps such trivial matters from her...FROM THE START, means, he isn't an honest guy ,especially where it counts...in the trust and truth departments!
Actually i got in the same situation and as stupid as it seems, in fact the boy don't want to hurt one of the girls so he just delay it again and again thinking they won't find out about it until one does and sever ties. Typical weak people that can't make a choice hurting both.
AWKWARD moment. This is definitely a shock in the system for Mo Fei. Mingxuan failed this. He should have told her about his childhood friend Qian since he really did not have any feelings for her. By lying and hiding things from Mo Fei, he created a feeling of doubt in her mind, there's no other way ro defend it. She has every reason to be upset. He canceled their date on their anniversary and lied about working.

That's what made me so angry - he is constantly telling her not to keep secrets from him and then he does this and barely even sees that he's wrong, he just "couldn't find the right time to tell her." This isn't just some old friend who's shown up, it's a girl who's in love with him and who he was literally engaged to before and it's not just that he didn't tell her, he lied to her about what he was doing when he wasn't with her. Ugh this is one of the few times in a drama where I actually wanted the argument to go on longer, I wish Mo Fei had been angrier and gotten him to realize what he did wrong.

This is indeed damaging her faith in him. I know exactly this situation. You feel you can do whatever you want, you're never good enough. Not good enough to be accepted as an equal in his society. Excluded. When it happened to me, it broke something in me that couldn't be mended anymore. Although I loved him, I left him for good. There was no way I would have felt welcomed or accepted in his circle ever again. It's been years now and I have still not regained faith in anyone. But when I think of him, at least, it doesn't hurt anymore. I stopped missing him. I'm thinking of him from time to time because he has never married either, but when he tried to approach me some time ago, I didn't feel the same as before. It's broken. Spill a glass of water and try to put the water back in it. No topping up from the tap. You won't succeed.

Trust must be earned and taken care of as it can be so easily be broken, sometimes completely destroyed, by the lack of honesty. Honest communication is absolutely VITAL to a long-lasting relationship - I'm married 38 years so I can at least have an informative opinion on this. :) Believe me, love and relationships take work, understanding and TRUST. This is almost an exact repeat of his character in Boss and Me in terms of how he kept his girlfriend in the dark about a close childhood female friend that had feelings for him and he still stayed around her, even letting her live in his house and letting her kiss him, because he "didn't want to hurt her feelings"....
She probably would have been better off with Fang. He seems legit in his wanting him to tell her and not hurt her too.

Honestly I don't understand how that girl can say anything when she's been trying to hook up with that guy for so long and she didn't care that this girl was engaged to him before. I hate it how she forgave him so easily because the thing is he kept lying to her say no it's work or over to this and would leave her all by herself the same thing with bossing me how he's the one who didn't say anything to his girlfriend and let the other girl kisses him and then be like to get mad it was a misunderstanding know she f****** like do she said she got over you but yet what what reason did she have to kiss you just like this and then when he was like I'm on my way to your place if you're ready to listen and then because he gets a phone call from his job be like oh I think we both need to cool down I'll come and visit you another day and she honestly did she give in to him so easily and what did he really do you didn't explain anything he didn't really ask for forgiveness and because honestly he made her look like a fool in front of everybody and made it seem like as if she was a scheming girl trying to get close to this girl for a certain reason

She is not all sister. LOL. He knows that she loves him from a long time and he was even engaged to her. He was disgusting to hide it from the gf for all this time and meet the girl by saying to the gf that he is busy in work. He even has more emotion and think about this girl more than the gf as shown in the drama. I don't know why fl always goes back to this type of non trustworthy man in these dramas.
