      Thank you for the kind words! Being "skilled" is all about improving step by step and getting a little better every day. Practice makes perfect, they say!

    Watching that guy get wrecked by his own standstill in game 1 was way more satisfying than I thought it would be. Nice deck

      Forcing the Standstill player to break their own Standstill is one of the most gratifying experiences Premodern has to offer

    Dude, this deck is sick! Those were some great matches. Def gotta try it.
    One card that came to mind is Nature’s Lore to replace Harrow but sadly it only gets forests and it seems you only have four. Could be an option tho and it comes into play untapped.
    Also, Crop Rotation could be an option to find you Bowls and Treetops but I’m less of a fan.
    Excited to see where you take this deck! Cheers

      Thanks Arty! Flores actually suggested Nature's Lore to me, but it not fixing mana for W or B is probably a death sentence... Crop Rot simply doesn't ramp, so it's not what I'm trying to do (unless I did something weird like adding an Ancient Tomb, or something like that, but it seems awful...)
      Definitely looking forward to tweaking this one!

      You may be onto something with Nature's Lore, but it would probably take a slightly different shell. Maybe a similar build but opting for something like Akroma's Vengeance > Pernicious Deed.

    Wow, this deck looks good. Enjoing your content very much as one of the premodern users from S.Korea. While I was watching this, I agreed harrow seems not working well then I thought 2 mana green spells in the format. I can't find any more better spell than Living Wish for now. If I were you, I would cut harrow and 1 or 3 spells and then change the sideboard alittle bit for the wish. How about you?

    • @fpawluszmtg
      @fpawluszmtg  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not a fan of Wish, particularly in a deck like this which can't really take that much advantage of it (your opponent is going to have a bunch of dead removal spells in hand that they can't use because you won't have any targets, and Wish will be giving them some). I feel like I'm closer to playing something like Wall of Blossoms as a roadblock than Wish, since it replaces itself and protects against the only creature decks that may race and keep up with my card advantage. Thanks for watching the videos!

    What's your take on this deck with the Spring Fling side event (Shocklands are legal and fetches are banned). Then you can play Growth 5th-8th in Nature's Lore.

    • @fpawluszmtg
      @fpawluszmtg  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If fetches were to exist then Nature's Lore would be strictly better than Growth, by so much it wouldn't even be funny. If you expect Deed to be good in that hypothetic format then this deck could be really strong.

    That Naturalize on Dream Halls ended this man's whole career.

    • @fpawluszmtg
      @fpawluszmtg  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha, it ended up working out for me, hahaha. That's kind of the beauty of card design back in the day: broken cards (like Aluren) were symmetric, so they made for some very interesting counterplay.

    I thought about putting together The Rock as my first premodern deck, but these filthy creatures like BoP pushed me away. Thank you for showing be the truth of Rampant Growth.

    • @fpawluszmtg
      @fpawluszmtg  ปีที่แล้ว

      Rampant Growth is definitely the truth, and extremely under explored in Preomdern. Also if I were to play The Rock I'd play cards like Phyrexian Rager, who actually do what The Rock wants to do as opposed to just ramping into.... Obstinate Baloth???

    Sweet deck! Is oath not a good sideboard card here-Or do those matchups not need the help? Nice commentary as always

    • @fpawluszmtg
      @fpawluszmtg  ปีที่แล้ว

      I considered Oath, but I just don't think this really is an Oath deck unless I am planning to board out every Tusker/Dragon/Baloth every time, since I don't think these are good enough individual targets to warrant playing Oath. And I definitely don't think that cutting Tusker is something I can afford to do.
      Thank you for watching!

    • @jaromirvyb
      @jaromirvyb ปีที่แล้ว

      Oath could be an interesting choice against aggro strategies because every creature you get is bigger than theirs. It could stall the board until you get to tell your deed. 😂 Just thinking aloud.

    • @fpawluszmtg
      @fpawluszmtg  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jaromirvyb The problem is that with this deck I am not super worried about creature aggro decks, between Deed, Wrath and Plague out of the board I think I can work things out in my favor. I'd be a lot more worried about Sligh as far as aggro goes, which Oath doesn't help against.

    Do you like vindicate in the deck even as a one of? Seems like a good catch all. isn’t terrible in addition to a dust bowl strat too.
    It’s a bummer the mana base is bad it would have been fun to test a Living Death too.
    I’m going to play around with this idea. I love it. 🫡

    • @fpawluszmtg
      @fpawluszmtg  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could add a Vindicate, but since B is such a small splash I don't want to have many uncastable cards, and I'd much rather have Deed than Vindicate. All in all, I think BW Control is just a better version of this deck cause it doesn't auto-lose to combo and Armageddon like this deck does.
