He doesn't coach a game, and he doesn't care about winning or losing. He want's to prepare guys for their profession; and that's awesome for what it is: college should be about personal growth, learning, and preparing for the future. But it's not a title winning formula in today's NCAA. If Arky hired Cal to win games with lots of talent and a lot of community good, then great, Cal is a slam dunk-- If they hired Cal to win a championship, they are likely to be disappointed.
And then get mad when your best shooter who is 7 ft 2 keeps hitting 3-point shots for you to win games because he's still not "tough" enough. 😂 I called it months ago.
If you don't get it with a calipari coach team and the pick-and-roll defense just go back and watch the St Peter's debacle. Over and over same play till victory. Everybody knows now, defense never changes, ever.
UK fan...Ok seriously anyone really expect Cal to change? He took a big part of the team he had at UK to UA...a measure of the scientific method would tell you he is doing to do the same things: recruit elite talent but cant coach elite talent and I mean coaching in the sense of teaching the game, being the general and employing the tactics of pre-game prep and gametime X's and O's...basically all those things Coach Mark Pope is..Cal is not. UA will win games, but based more on raw talent and grit during the game. And man, is it fun to be a BBN fan again!
