    I do understand that even though remaining impartial in the case of South Sudan might be looked down upon as something inhumane, remaining impartial becomes necessary when somebody is grieving. Keeping that arm's length from the grieving is a way of respecting the deceased and the grief itself. Its very multi layered.

    Loved every bit of this podcast episode.
    I learned a lot(even though I'm not a journalist) about how media should report.
    I'll be honest with you,I did watch this episode in intervals(due to work issues) but when ever I did listen,I listened to it with full attention as every word of her is informative.
    People might agree or disagree but having a journalist like her who is knowledgeable & knows media or more specifically journalist ethics is rare in Pakistan.
    Kudos to this brave lady & kudos to the host as well for inviting such a personality.

    Absolutely brilliant! I just loved how Sabin Agha articulated with such finesse in explaining issues journalists and people are confronted with and Shahzad, for hosting this show with acumen and magnifying much into matters which I'm assume took a toll on your own mental wellbeing.
    In countries like Pakistan, this is THE raison d'etre for alternative media! Where freedom of press and expression of thought both are curtailed is exactly where you've come in for a voice of dissent and truth. So thank you, stay strong and stay safe!

    Hi Shahzad- I just bumped into this awesome podcast again and it reminded my how brilliantly awesome and badass Sabin was here. I would really ;like to see her again on your podcast. Well done, Sabin. I ve known you for almost 17 years as a journalist. You ve been one of the pro active field reporters, always ahead of your journalist colleagues. We have both covered several high profile events like lawyers movement, musharrafs emergency, Nishter Park bombing and twin bombing on 18 Oct @karsaz. I am so proud of you. You are one bad ass reporter

    To a certain extent I disagree coz being an ex journalist you can’t detach yourself completely from an area of travesty .... the empathetic human side does come out and as a human your natural instinct would be to help but report. I think the nation can wait for another 2 minutes for the breaking news to happen in case you are helping out somebody locked in an accident or injured.

    • @AhmadAli-gp4ig
      @AhmadAli-gp4ig 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes zohra I certainly agree with you here.... As being from the nation who is addicted to breaking news, and live telecasting of a catastrophe on 4k leds....crime reporters and cameraman become more professional and impartial observer to earn their worth, award or more rating to capture that live disaster in front of them rather than giving some help or any support to the victims.......award matters, money matters.....coz Zohra lives doesn't matter

    I get being a feminist and all. But assuming that law enforcement officials are telling you to get to safety and be careful, doesn’t necessarily sound gendered, I’m sure they’d do the same for any other journalist. To each their own though
