I like these! You can't really get a true sense of a device after a week of usage. So after a year it's nice to see if any shiny new features stay shiny, or any flaws disappear... Plus all the software updates may add more refinement. I hope you do this for the Pixel 2 XL in the next month, I feel that while it's still a great device, it hasn't matured as well.
I love my iPhone X, switched from a Galaxy S8+. To me the X feels more premium, has better battery life and is way more consistent in performance, (running the IOS 12 beta)
TXguy82 used a 6S plus before my GS8+ and before the 6S plus I owned a Note 3. I had a lot of problems with my 6s plus, when it was cold, my phone would turn of, battery was 30% and the phone would turn off. Switched to a GS8+ but after a year, the phone slowed down A lot, had random camera crashes (even after reinstalled the software) When the X launched I like the design, and gave apple an other shot. Never been this happy with a phone, still fast, camera is great and battery life is still good!
Face ID works for me better than Touch ID ever did. It’s not quite as snappy, but there were far less times it wouldn’t recognize my face than when Touch ID didn’t recognize my finger cuz I held it wrong or they were greasy or dirty. Also, it doesn’t work on a table? I literally it all the time and it works flawlessly. At first when I purchased it it didn’t, but as it learned my face it detects from angles that had me like “what, seriously it unlocked??” I tried it on a table just now a few times to make sure, so yes. It’s perfectly possible.
That is only true for iPhone touch id. The fingerprint sensor on my phone always works fine, but my sibblings have iPhones, and touch id works only half the time
Yeah I love Face ID. And the fact it can detect my face late at night as well and. I bet it will be super helpful in the cold months here where I don’t have to take off my gloves and fiddle with Touch ID.
I just don't understand why wouldn't they put both options. They could've simply added one on the back. Just like how touch id doesnt work when your hands are greasy and stuff, face id wouldnt work if you arent able to show your face. (i.e wearing a mask because of contagious cold or something)

John Doe no need to be mean its just an opinion. Both OS have they're pros and cons. IOS is simply much faster with superior ram managment while android is much more open source and less pushy.
These easiest answer? It's customization. Some people, love customizing their phones, and others just like them working. Not that the customized phones do not work, because I rather dislike Samsung phones. Doesn't mean I am oblivious to how they work. No. It's Android people like a more customized experience, and iOS people like that it works. You take it out of the box, and it just works.

We'll see what happens with time but so far the pixel is the faster phone in day to day use. I do still like iPhone as well though so I'm not against them.

Ive always been an android user but I had to try the iPhone X because sprint doesn’t offer the pixel and I’m not a Samsung fan and I have to say I love it. My experience with the X has been great. Battery is great. The phone without a case is beautiful. Face ID for me has been amazing. It’s like a better version of windows hello. I’m hoping the pixel 3 is even better as that’s going be the phone that’s going to bring me back to android.
The pixel 3xl is one of the ugliest phones this year will bring and the pixel 3 will have besels like Samsung's but bigger, they will smash it in the camera department and the latest sd chip
CPU is extremely fast but gpu is almost the same as SD845 gpu im not saying its slow but imagine what games you could play and higher MP is always good you have more detail and you can see much better if you zoom in But what else could you improve? it already has portret , dual camera , stabilizer, 4k 60...

But the thing I like the most is their reviews after a long time of use of one device. It’s really nice to see the features every gadget have, and also the bad stuff about it, but showing us how it endured for a determined period of time and how the user experience was affected by it is even more important. I’m still trying to find a review to tell me how the MacBook Pro 2018 keyboard is doing so far, and none have done it. Ok, it just launched 5 months ago, but still, it would be nice to point out to whether we should buy one or not.

One thing I tend to notice when using iPhone over Android is that they do not slow as much over the two years the average person may use it. There have been complaints of Android phones slowing down and getting gradually less usable, even within one year of its release. More than just a few TH-camrs have noted this with the Google Pixel 2 XL, and it has been something that has plagued Samsung for years. Apple has been quite good at keeping their devices speedy and responsive.
I like the notch because you can distinguish the top from the bottom with minimal effort. Full screen mode usually ruins the picture quality anyway and having the option to zoom is a perfect balance

I have iPhone for years. the 4S was probably one of the greatest phones ever. but Apple dropped the ball after 6. Decided to move to Samsung Note. granted i wanted to return it the first few days because the transition was very hard, but now i do not want any else (L) especially after i made a cinematic video (available on my channel) with the Camera of the Note. the dynamic range, the contrast, and sharpness is just pure madness!

My palm and hands get sweaty easily, so faceID worked a lot better for me than touchID. However when touchID works, its much faster than faceID.

Pixel 3 will still be exclusive to Verizon though.

Something I noticed about sunglasses not working, make sure the attention detection is turned off. It makes a world of difference and is worth the trade off of security.

The end of life? The phone is barley pushing a year old! We gotta stop acting like these phones are some how old just because a new one comes out every year. So do cars but no one is rushing to get a 18 when they just bought a 17 last year are they? Smh
Dallas Cowboys Every time i want to move away from iPhone i try a andriod phone and the animations they have in there are not fluid and consistent. As a animator it bothers me so I never move away even though I use no one of the apple services like music and so on
One thing I tend to notice when using iPhone over Android is that they do not slow as much over the two years the average person may use it. There have been complaints of Android phones slowing down and getting gradually less usable, even within one year of its release. More than just a few TH-camrs have noted this with the Google Pixel 2 XL, and it has been something that has plagued Samsung for years. Apple has been quite good at keeping their devices speedy and responsive.

I like the notch because you can distinguish the top from the bottom with minimal effort. Full screen mode usually ruins the picture quality anyway and having the option to zoom is a perfect balance

This past year with the iPhone X has been fantastic. It took me from android. Glad I switched. Love the comments on how it was too pricey or not worth the money. Maybe in your world. It was worth every penny to me. Waiting to upgrade to the plus model.

I have iPhone for years. the 4S was probably one of the greatest phones ever. but Apple dropped the ball after 6. Decided to move to Samsung Note. granted i wanted to return it the first few days because the transition was very hard, but now i do not want any else (L) especially after i made a cinematic video (available on my channel) with the Camera of the Note. the dynamic range, the contrast, and sharpness is just pure madness!

I upgraded a couple of weeks ago to the Huawei P20 Pro from an iPhone 7 plus. I've had iPhones all my life. Should I have waited for the new iPhone, or have I made a good decision? I genuinely love the android experience!
