when i hear this song, i think of my best friend. she passed away and whenever i hear the songs she loved it always reminds me of her. She really did have a lot of problems but she always assured us that it was gonna be okay. The day she passed away was around midnight and i barely woke up to find out that on my socials everyone was posting her. I literally couldnt stop crying the next day at school. "i love you, and i hope that ur ok." this will always hit hard.

This album was about not being afraid to embrace the angry, bitter and sour emotions that come with loss and disappointment. It's only when we let them out that we make room for hope. I'm glad she ended this story on a hopeful song.

This song hits differently when you have abusive parents and want to escape from them. Perhaps if I had children of my own, I wouldn't abuse them the same way my parents did.
You wouldn’t , I’m no contact with my parents, because they are and always have been abusive. Im a mum now … and do everything the total opposite to how I was raised. I tell them I love them (and mean it) a million times a day. I hug them. I SHOW them they are supported and loved, no matter what, my love isn’t conditional. I let them feel safe… you know I noticed only the other day, my kids have never had a nightmare… not one. My childhood was haunted by nightmares, fear of the dark… because my days were filled with fear too, we have the information, to do better. Love better… and stop the generational trauma. It ends with us.

The big sisters/brothers of the family should deserve more appreciation for how much they sacrifice and have to grow up so fast. As a big sister I can relate to this and it really hurts especially when your family doesn’t see what’s going on with yourself.

My parents aren't the best in English and all taht and so my older sister would always help me with homework and studying. She was really smart and just about a few months ago she went to a foreign country to do medical school. I miss her now, and have a really hard time studying sometimes.

I think this song is abt conan gray bc at 0:33 she mentions how to boy wore long sleeves bc of his dad. On Conan’s recent album the song summer child mentions how he used to wear long sleeves. Conans album reveals a lot about his abusive childhood and we all know that Conan and Olivia are close.

This is my favorite song in the album. The rest of her songs are her expressing how she feels about breakups yet this one is her taking time to stop moping about her feelings and spread some love for people who need it more than her
This album was about not being afraid to embrace the angry, bitter and sour emotions that come with loss and disappointment. It's only when we let them out that we make room for hope. I'm glad she ended this story on a hopeful song.

You wouldn’t , I’m no contact with my parents, because they are and always have been abusive. Im a mum now … and do everything the total opposite to how I was raised. I tell them I love them (and mean it) a million times a day. I hug them. I SHOW them they are supported and loved, no matter what, my love isn’t conditional. I let them feel safe… you know I noticed only the other day, my kids have never had a nightmare… not one. My childhood was haunted by nightmares, fear of the dark… because my days were filled with fear too, we have the information, to do better. Love better… and stop the generational trauma. It ends with us.

My parents aren't the best in English and all taht and so my older sister would always help me with homework and studying. She was really smart and just about a few months ago she went to a foreign country to do medical school. I miss her now, and have a really hard time studying sometimes.
