What a beautiful strong healthy boy he is. He is really going to be a very strong gorilla when he is fully grown. When he tumbles, no big deal, he just pick some himself up and starts all over again.
I love to read about such love of Gorillas. Gentaro mistreats his baby brother Kintaro. It's the sneaky way he does. I know Mom & Dad have witnessed much worse. That is why they grab the baby & pull him away from Gentaro. He watches & figures out when is the best time. When he tries to show affection, he starts to pinch where ever he can, so that Mom & Dad can't see him pinching his neck, between his legs, etc. He tries to make it look like he is rubbing his head with affection. I love watching all the gorilla familes. I know the videographer could have a preference to not show them ever eating anything other than the leaves off a bush. The Shebani famile gets a nice variety of fruits & vegetables. Maybe the zookeep here has a reason not show. I love the time they take to video & to post them. Thank you! I wonder if anyone would like to watch videos of Koko? They are so intelligent. Love them.

Kintaro acts sleepy today, Genki is stuffing her face, Gentaro is just hanging out and Dad gathered foods from the rafters and found a quiet place to eat, so it looks like a good day for all of them.
Why do you not give them fresh fruit and vegetables like carrots? Its a drama how these gorillas have to look for fresh food. And cheap straw that they can lay and sleep on, play with it like in other zoos?
Jutta Mussong-Löffler they get fresh fruit and all the leafy greens they can eat. They never go hungry. They are never without. It just not always shown because these are home videos. Sometimes they show it. Sometimes they don’t. When inside for the night the keepers place fruits and vegetables and more as high up and down low as possible so they can climb for the food and etc etc. it’s placed everywhere for them. No worries. They have a safe n loved care free life

They need to put a little cup or bucket in that water & see if Kintaro can figure out that he'll get more water if it's in a cup. I know Chimpanzees are known to do that.
Kintaro is still nursing. Baby gorillas in general start trying solid food around 3 months old and it becomes a majority of their diet by 1 year old (depending on individuals though). They will still nurse until 3 to 4 years old.

Zoo Krefeld, Germany, could provide green grass and a nice landscape. Their gorillas have a bright fur. Genki must fetch her food under the ceiling.
