First of all, nice solution! But why don't you just factor-? It would be must harder to work with (squaring and square rooting) if the roots are complex/irrational.
Yeah I'm not trying to prove that this is the best solution, I'm just saying it's another one... also you can't factor if the roots are complex/irrational, right? If u mean the quadratic formula, I agree, it is much easier, so this isn't practical to use, just cool to notice :)
@@mathophilia Well you can factor *the example you gave* which could be a simpler solution. If you give an example with complex/irrational roots and try your method, doing the quadratic formula could be easier. But nice solution! (It's basically vietas but I never thought I would use it this way)
That's so great that you came up with this on your own
These videos are getting serious. I'm getting the popcorn ready and holstering my slide rule just in case.
Nice job! Keep going!
Thank you so much for the encouragement!
Amazing, keep going!
wait why is the youtube algorithm actually boosting this now
Great!
I used to get quadratics in math mixed up with quantum theory in science

nice!
or just use discriminant formula LOL :P
thats why the math is an amazing subject, because there are a lotta solutions for one single thing
