    Nonnegative is such a good album! Coldrain is such an underrated band. I wish more people knew of their existence. Loved the reaction! Such a great vibe jamming along.

    This is their fourth single from the album "Nonnegative" first was PARADISE (Kill The Silence) in November 2021 then it was CALLING in April 2022 (on my birthday actually) followed by Before I Go in June 2022 and now Cut Me.

    Great video as always Dec! The new album Nonnegative is out now and this single was released alongside it. When you’ve listened to the record in full. Would you plan to do a speed review for Nonnegative like you did with The Side Effects? A couple of my favourites are “Rabbit Hole”, the heaviest song on the album by far, “Boys and Girls”, a beautiful song with a pop punkish sound and is very unique for the band to release, and “Don’t Speak” the No Doubt cover. I love the original and Coldrain do it a lot of justice.
    I’m not sure if you’ve watched TV much in Japan recently but Coldrain’s “From Today” is being used in a new advert promoting the new Aquous XLED product in Japan and I was wondering if you had seen that at all? One of the other singles, “Before I Go” has been used for Sapporo Beer’s latest promotional campaign! So it’s clear that the band’s label has been pushing hard for them to get a huge hit on the charts there this year.
    I saw another comment about reactions feeling “fake” and I disagree. Whenever there’s a new single out for a band I like, I always love searching for reactions to see what others peoples opinions on it are as well as their initial reactions to the music. I’d encourage that kind of content more as that is what’ll bring more traffic to your channel.
    By the way, your Japanese seems to have progressed a lot! I wish I could speak it. Well done! I’m impressed.:)

      Will give it a few listens to then have a think! Rabbit Hole is so good!!!!!!!!!!! Yeh, when I saw Don't Speak, I was like "nah it can't be a cover surely." But low and behold it was!

    You should check out some of their older stuff, give a listen to Final Destination or Through Clarity. They are mainly labeled as Metalcore and Post-Hardcore. They were always metal but went back to their roots with that album imo

    To be honest for quite some months now I've been kinda "over it" when it comes to reaction videos and unsubscribed to almost every channel.. but I'm still watching yours cause you're a cool guy and your videos and the effort you put into them really deserve more attention!
    Have you listened to the complete album already? There's at least one surprise I think you didn't see coming :D
    PS: It has been five months already since it came out, but I would still love if you checked out Girugamesh's latest song "Engrave" ;)

      Haha. Yeh I kinda felt like my reactions were seeming fake or repetitive so that's why I stopped. But I said to myself for the big bands that I like I'll still do a reaction here and there. Thanks for watching and supporting though! Haha I'll listen now!

      Debatable. They also don't call themselves metal.

      I can’t agree. I’d struggle to call Coldrain a metal band. They definitely flirt with the genre at times but they aren’t a full blown metal band. They are a rock band that like to explore the rock sound and experiment with it.

    • @Delok.
      @Delok. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GeorgeKnight201101PR they mainly follow the metal sub genres of metalcore and post hardcore (the latter not as much as anymore nowadays)

      @@DecvsJapan Prove me wrong, but there's not that much shouting and downright growling in rock, is there? Have you listened to all of their songs? Plus, Masato's a MONSTER on stage, their songs are soo much heavier live than on CD, I'd recommend watching some lives. Yeah, they do have rock-ish songs, sometimes even pop-ish. It's a good mix. In Japan, they call this genre "loud rock" which is, according to Wikipedia at least, a genre that's composed of "heavy metal and hardcore". Wiki is not always that on point when it comes to distinguishing between genres (who is?) but yeah. I'd say they're far more metal than rock these days but most bands aren't one trick ponies.
