Dreamcatcher are outdoing themselves here once again. Musically, the song is a fantastic journey. There actually are "cute" parts, but there also are parts where the guitars go full metal. The variations in BEcause remind me of their previous masterpiece, Deja Vu. The bridge with SuA's slow rap and Yoohyeon's adlibs is possibly the most beautiful one they have ever done. About the meaning: According to Dami, BEcause is about love becoming obsession. And also, this is a stand-alone story. They go back to their horror roots, which I really enjoy. One commenter noted that if you look at "BE" as a Korean written character "悲“, that would mean "sadness". So the song title would mean "The Cause of Sadness". And that would make the lyric "because I like you" to maybe mean "the cause of sadness is I like you". That commenter is Jad Hamizan and he deserves all the credit for noticing that. The video picks up on that. JiU seems to be the puppet master here (or her doppelganger!). She is the one trapping the other members and turning them into puppets, but Gahyeon tries to escape (as you can see by her throwing off the cage right in the beginning). It seems JiU catches her again though, "because she likes her". The lyrics are even creepier. SuA sings: "You turn blue, blue. Your face is like ocean view.", hinting at strangulation due to the one being obsessed taking things way, way too far. In any case, Dreamcatcher are clearly not afraid to tackle the difficult subjects, and they do it masterfully here - again. For me, this is more than just pop, it is art.

This concept has so many elements from the horror movie "Us" in which doppelgängers dressed in red try to kill humans and take their place. In the music video at first the members are holding hands, forming a mirror, with Jiu & Gahyeon on each side. Gahyeon tries to take Jiu's place at first by choking her, and in the end succeeds i think, because in the choreography & the music video Gahyeon's in the center not Jiu. Also Jiu shows as a puppet master controlling the girls (except for Gahyeon who tries to take her place), and in the last scene we see Siyeon as the keeper or the one keeping them hostages, Gahyeon on the chair in the center (took Jiu's place) with Jiu on her side, and the other girls chained. The song is called "BEcause", the "BE" was highlighted and means sadness in Korean. So the cause of being sad is love (aka when they said "i like you", "i love you". There are so many more details and maybe I got something wrong, but hope this helps a bit. Make sure to check the choreography it's insane. ~7:41-7:48 - I really want to know what the meaning behind this scene is, because there's this weird sort of tension between the two. It's like Dami is the "caretaker" or "watcher" of Handong, because she's already been "replaced", so she has this ill-sense of authority of the still-human, Handong. Very interesting.
~8:51-8:53 - Is that Gahyeon and Yoohyeon, Gahyeon and JiU, or Gahyeon and Handong?! My first guess is the former, but I can't figure out why it's Yoohyeon and not JiU.
~8:56-9:02 - This scene with the initial focus on JiU but then the zoom-out to the rest of the members is so creepy, like they're watching and waiting for their next victim. Also, their smirks that were featured individually in the teaser~
To be fair, this whole mv is a 'killing part'.

This concept has so many elements from the horror movie "Us" in which doppelgängers dressed in red try to kill humans and take their place. In the music video at first the members are holding hands, forming a mirror, with Jiu & Gahyeon on each side. Gahyeon tries to take Jiu's place at first by choking her, and in the end succeeds i think, because in the choreography & the music video Gahyeon's in the center not Jiu.
Also Jiu shows as a puppet master controlling the girls (except for Gahyeon who tries to take her place), and in the last scene we see Siyeon as the keeper or the one keeping them hostages, Gahyeon on the chair in the center (took Jiu's place) with Jiu on her side, and the other girls chained.
The song is called "BEcause", the "BE" was highlighted and means sadness in Korean. So the cause of being sad is love (aka when they said "i like you", "i love you".
There are so many more details and maybe I got something wrong, but hope this helps a bit. Make sure to check the choreography it's insane.
