Watched them all and loved them. It must be really bittersweet to have done all this and finally to have it end. Thanks, I subscribed, and I'll be watching.
Congratulations on completing the AZT! My wife and I watched every episode and it gave us a great perspective on this beautiful trail. We'll be NOBO shortly and your videos really helped us prepare (as have your other videos on gear etc). Thanks for producing a great channel!
Fantastic adventure...thanks for sharing. I have watched dozens of videos on the AZT in preparation for a 2024 NOBO and yours are by far the best. Happy Trails!
After completing such a lengthy journey, it must have been a somewhat bittersweet moment for you, while also instilling a sense of great accomplishment. Thanks for sharing. If you ever consider exploring the Great Divide trail, feel free to reach out to me.
Hey Jon - congratulations on your successful thru-hike of the AZT! I discovered your channel a few days ago and just finished watching all your videos - very nicely done. I’m heading out to the AZT in March and your videos gave me a good feel of the trail and what to expect. Thanks - Happy Trails!
Hey Jon, great videos, I watched them all. Planning on starting around April 1 for my crack at it. Would like your opinion, like you I have a Duplex and love it. I have only ever used it on multiple trips on the JMT. I have seen some hikers swearing by their free standing tents given nights of high wind and rocky pitch locations. I have a three lb. Slingfin Portal 2 and cant' decide which to bring. Would appreciate any thought you have. Thanks!
On my last night there were sustained winds of 45+ mph for hours and my Duplex survived just fine. However, on windy nights it’s a great idea to pound your tent stakes in with a heavy rock. I also never camped in a spot where a free standing tent was necessary. Enjoy your trip!
It depends on what kind of shoes you wear. My Topo Terraventures lasted 400+ miles on the AZT. People using Altras got much less mileage. Just keep an eye on the soles.

Hey Jon, one more question if you dont mind. What advice would you give me about when to send myself a new pair of shoes. Thx for any thoughts. Ed M.
