This is super impressive. You're the first I've seen that makes it look like an actual aggressive weapon and not a hit and run weapon using springs to evade until full charge. Very nice.
Yeah I also slept hard on it for the most part of my playthrough, then I realized it's p damn powerful for how "weak" it seems to look like while grinding this fight.
@@BrokeNSings learned to use it in this fight unironically. It certainly can be used in every monster, but box requires player awareness to a clear opening. It's not as safe to abuse compared to spring.

I heard it's harder to use compared with pad cuz need to press longer to use vertical double spinning attack ofc you didn't use spring on this run, I'm just curious cuz many user using spring with nodachi anyway hope to see more nodachi run with other kemono too
I consider LMB + Spring a distance closer/emergency option. Sure it's good but the damage output on it is underwhelming compared to box jump. Not to mention box jump is both slightly faster for gauge build up and prob highest dps move outside of full charge.
Sure follow up is good for more gauge/dmg, but in this fight specifically I couldn't give myself the benefit to do it or else I'd have gotten countered by stalker.
The damage certainly feels underwhelming for the amount of work one has to do to get Full Charges out. The way I see it, Nodachi relies alot more on katakuri attacks to get its stuff going rather than its normal swings, as they're just too slow for both gauge build up and dps.

One question, is the torch´s first hit a good poking attack? I see you using it all the time, isn´t the followup the best part?
