- The divine presence of the Warrior Goddess, also known as Durga, Chamundi, Kali and Katyayani, is living in the Mahishasura Mardhini Stotram written by Sri Adi Shankaracharya.
In this episode, Guru Pashupati, who is the Parampara Adhikari or the lineage authority of 6 immortal schools of Yoga (Aghora, Nath, Giri, Siddha, Naga and Vajra), unravels the yogic teachings in the first four verses of the Stotram. These are powerful meditations, relevant especially for walking on the right path even in Kaliyuga.

My understanding as Advaita student, Param-Shiva (Parameswara/Sat-Chit)) is the essence(potential+ kinetic) and Chit-shakti is the kinetic energy released from the Sat-Chit and result in creation and appearing as Maya(ignorance!/ Materialistic?). Hiranyagarbha is the womb of creation. If the chit energy(devi) is not released, there will not be any creation. That implies, if you know about Devi's (all forms of different energies) you will come to know all materialistic things/ energies of this maya(it appears to you as you are the part of it). In my understanding Mahishasura is that "Ignorance" part of you. if you kill that mahishasura /ignorance, you will obtain gyana and will realise the true nature of creation( is not happened). This is not possible being in Maya, and can be known only with nidi-dyasan. This is the essence of Shankara advaita. Please forgive me if i expressed some thing wrong, i am still learning...🙏 As always I appreciate the easy understandable style of your teachings and the immense knowledge you have.
