We may identify ourselves with a certain gender but inside we all have both male and female energies. The masculine energy(The Shiva) deals with the logic, structure, planning; where as the feminine energy deals with emotions, intuition, dreams, creativity..
And when these energies are not in balance, it results in that inner turmoil that we always want to resolve. On the sound energy side, the deeper, low frequencies resonate the masculine energies and the higher frequencies resonate with the feminine energies. It reminds me of the warm, tumoultuous yet relaxing way of connecting with your male (if you are female or fem-like) or female (if you are male or male-like) significant other. Like the unexplainable mixture of feelings you feel when you mentally and physically connect with that other counterpart. Its both painful and rewarding. Confusing and yet comfortable. Frustrating yet enjoyable. And sometimes you want to split from them but most times you cant imagine your life without them. The paradoxical nature is relaxing somehow.
