@@annie_xoin another comment, you're making concern about their shoes as well.
And fact is, a lot of the buildings in Pyongyang are props. That's been well documented over the history of the nation.
ALL THOSE HIGH RISE BUILDINGS BUT THEY'RE EMPTY AND NO LIGHTS IN THEM. SUCH A VERY DARK PLACE.
9:15 yeah
North Korea promo video, showing off the Mirae district, which seems new but deserted. This pizza parlor was in another NK promo video. It's probably the only pizza parlor in Pyongyang, but no locals can afford it (empty).
Remy Remy how do you explain the sudden blackout?
this is not a professional documentary.
it's more like the NK government allowing him to film and distribute to global media, as long as he sends a positive message about NK. you do realize the NK citizens don't have access to the global internet. also, you do realize that it is illegal to film in NK without the government approval, with severe penalties if caught.
NK electricity system is bad, blackouts seem to be frequent
Selamat hari petang saudaraku dan setanah airku semoga sehat slalu bung dan terus berkarya di korea utara
Do they really need that fancy dough flattener when there are like 5 pizza cooks and all they make is 3 pizzas a day?
I wonder why they wear those high heels to make pizza. They feel really exhausted with those shoes..
I think it’s the propaganda hard at work. Have to be “Hollywood” ready as you represent Kim. In a similar video the cooks performed and danced as the guest danced.
Totally propaganda… but let’s not be too harsh on the women working there… it isn’t like they have tons of options open to them. And if they are told they will work at a Pizza joint, well, they will be working at a Pizza joint. Even if it is totally fake AF.
Agreed. Those poor women.
I hate noisy crowded public places, but I'm sure I would be equally creeped out by a quiet and empty restaurant.such as that. I can't imagine it ever being busy.
Has anyone else noticed that the "off the itinerary" restaurants and attractions that Jakaparker, and his other "foreign" colleagues/counterparts visit in NK are all the same? Always empty and void of the natiral citizenry - how sad. I've seen this pizza restaurant in about 8 separate videos! Could anybody shed any light?
Helena Craig haha. Shed light. Good one.
Helena Craig One can only arrive at the conclusion that these establishments are tremendously expensive to dine at. Hence why these shops appear to be reserved for Western consumers, as many North Koreans can ill afford to eat here.
Somebody doesnt pay the electricity bill! 😅
if it was Africa i would say it was load shedding. but the lights are on across the street.
The first time they use the owen in years and the electricity blows out.
Cosmopavone So sad i feel bad since id read your comment.
You can tell those girls don't actually make alot of pizza...
Self Reliance ("Juche") means you are importing sunflower oil from Italy (possibly via China?).
That's a good looking pizza for under a dollar, in a fine dining arrangement, on top of being served by such beautiful ladies
9:10 suddenly electricity back to normal........
🤣🤣
I feel sorry for the women that have make pizzas in very discomfort way (the cooking table in wrong height (too low height) and also in high heels shoes so they have to bend their back to make pizza. Their backs gonna get bad after few years. :/
Dirtbiker SWE she lives in NK but you are sorry for her because of the "wronge height" lol
The pizzas are $700 KPW = 0.78c in the US !!!
Yep broken country. And very sociopath country
@@binyikbicitli5772 lmao, food being cheap = broken country? Logic!
@@andrade7044 you act like north korea is a rich country xD
No its around 100 US Dollar! These pizzas are very very expensive!
@@andrade7044 it's not cheap, if you don't have American currency. Also, it's probably closer to $100 USD
they wear jackets because public facilities are rarely heated in dprk
12:21 - Cashier tallies up the bill. Using paper and pencil of course. Not sure if these are the legal books, or the illegal books.
Lol the electricity off portion
