Rilee Rossouw has been in terrific form across T20 leagues in the last 24 months or so. His addition makes it a very strong South Africa middle order for the WC in Australia - Rossouw, Markram, RVD & Miller.

Seeing this south africa team , makes me feel so good . They are surely improving in every aspect of the game . Even many other countries like Sri Lanka , west indies are also improving. Hope the world cup would be more interesting compared to the 2021 world cup .

SA cricket has its own unique challenges. Imagine if India had to pick a matchday squad with one player from each state. Or two players max from each (historical) caste. Or only 6 players that speak Marathi. That is what the politicians have decided is 'best' for South African cricket.
@@023achilles not really, the quota system is not as strict as you think, in fact,they played with only 4 non-white players in last t20wc and tests against bangladesh and those players were playing good as well, so the selection might be difficult but it isn’t really hampering their performance

It clearly does hamper South Africa's performance. A lot of SA's good play recently could very well be due to Bavuma's injury.

I don't understand the argument that every team on the planet can choose a squad on merit but SA must choose one based on 'not that strict' quotas as it doesn't 'really' hamper their performance.
@@023achilles i take back what i said about the performance,and no i don't think it is ok. I Won't try to justify what they're doing, but It's a result of public and political pressure. South african blacks are the majority and after being discriminated for generations,they couldn’t handle seeing 11 white players repesent their country in sports,they see this as a way of returning their treatment. This is illogical, but something very difficult to solve right away,this system might go away one day,but it will take time
Seeing Rilee rossow play is so nostalgic . I have seen him in 2015 world cup . He is a very good batsman and i admired him a lot . The kolpak deal was the one which destroyed his golden years . Even many other players like Colin Ingram , Wayne Parnell as well were destroyed by the kolpak deal .
