    columns and walls are supposed to move freely when they encounter seismic waves.Providing toothing we will see non structural damages. cracking of walls and so on

    I think your advice is not right, because when we construct a building then we construct non bearing walls, between the columns, the slab of building transfer it's load to the beam and beam transfer the load to columns and Columns transfer load to footing, here we provide non bearing walls, if we construct columns after brick masonry then the load of wall transfer to column and that effect on columns strength
