Not sure if anyone cares but if you're bored like me atm you can stream all of the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my gf during the lockdown =)
Love the expressions you guys use especially the ones you seem to invent on the spot. Extra respect if you use 'Take me home mama - I have seen enough to know I've seen too much!' at the end of a future game (from 'A League of their Own').
I agree this game is one for the history books. Will is such an opportunistic player and played this game amazingly well. plus I love Sabine and miranda
An. Awesome. Game. Really nice. As a fan of the bombs, I am sooo hyped... :D Just one question: When the Stressbot first attacked Old Teroch, why didn't the other Scum ships receive a stress token? ... and I thought, they have to take two?
Yo man, Mindlink only gives tokens if you don't have one on the other ships, so they don't just pile on every time, sort of like how they don't get a focus for every focus. But, good pick up, because Teroch should actually have had three stress (but they forgot to add the other stress for the TLT shots) seemingly because of the confusion of the K-Turn for the Y-Wing and the Thermal Detonator. Interesting how top table players can miss things all the same.
Actually, I didn't notice that they forgot the last stress token on Teroch. :) But then again... From the FAQ for Attanni mindlink: If a ship with Attani Mindlink receives multiple focus or stress tokens as part of the same effect (such as with Recon Specialist or Rage), each other friendly ship with Attani Mindlink receives only 1 of that token. Fenn and Manaroo didn't take any stress from the Stressbot Y-wing... which, now that I think of it, is probably due to the same confusion cause of the stress from Thermal detonators...
Huw Duncan outplayed him and lost half of Fenn without even moving. K-Wings can bomb pretty much anything Range 1-3 in arc which make the Triple K-Wing list so potent. This system open and Naboo was won by stress control and bombs. I'll be surprised if any Imperial list makes Top 16 at Worlds because of the resurgence in those aspects of the game. Maybe the heavy QuickDraw & Tie D lists but those are much different than arc dodging aces that can die off 1 cluster mine. Fenn made Top 4 because Mindlink is still raw efficiency and good in every other matchup. Manaroo can also suck up bombs for the Triple Kwing lists. Matchup luck is also good to have.
I have to agree here. Both players were obviously amazing. Will was very patient and Duncan was being very careful. However, the fact that a single maneuvering error in one round can lose you the entire game is a bit absurd. It's different when we're talking about dice variance being able to kill a ship that's out of position. In this case Fenn was basically guaranteed dead when he did the 2-straight. Advanced SLAM is crazy.
7 years later and the messiness of Howard's play still triggers me. Once or twice a game, sure, shit happens. This guy changes the game state every time he touches a template.
Henry Machado Turrets and regen they could have handled. Bombs were too much. He did a great job of avoiding it but as soon as the bombs hit, his ships dropped.
I like how well you explain cards and tactics... feels like very entertaining, top notch sports journalism! Keep it up!

@Knox Jeffrey Yea, I've been watching on instaflixxer for since november myself :)

Haha, great to hear David! Those expressions do often come out of nowhere...
50:15 "There's no way they'd reboot it." Hate to break it to ya, lol
The second TLT shot at 24:40 was only two dice, so Miranda should have regained a shield (not showing on overlay)
Excellent game, really good flying by both players. Thanks for the cast!
Awesome game, really enhanced by superb production quality and world-class commentary! Thanks a lot! :-)
this is an absolute classic match, so fun to watch
This is one of the best casts online. Please do more instead of switching to Destiny and the other games =)
Thank you!
Awesome game. Aces players can learn a lot from the way Duncan plays around bombs.
Thanks for amazing videos:) but please include the date when the match took place.
Great game. Very enjoyable to watch.
Always love your commentary, thanks for making these.
That was an exciting match! great commentary guys :)

what focus and stress tokens are they using? I like the way they look and would like to buy some.
what kind of bases are that with all this information. Where can I get such pictures for the bases?
This match taught me a lot
Amazing game

Running away and re positioning is something I need to learn as an Imp player. Cant always be balls to the wall aggressive.
The list Duncan's playing is called OldManFenn 😉
I thought it was Fangaroo.
Skeletor Jopko it's mainly known as fangaroo, but I do love the name OldManFenn
OldKraytaroo?
What a great game!!!
Beautiful video as usual! :)
If only he had Zuckus in his G1A with ps 0/9 and tractor beam instead of Manaroo, bombs wont become to much of an issue when properly used.
ya boy Will
Shouldve dumped thermal detonators at 48:00
and he didnt use sabine 53:12
nice
Advance Slam should be nerfed or Sabine. It completely takes out an archetype in the meta such as Aces.
clearly not considering this list made it to the top 4 of a major tournament.

are we watching the same game? 'outplayed' is a stupid thing to say after seeing that amazing maneuvers game.

that one turn onto both bombs was clearly a piloting error. He flew well, but got too agressive trying to close it, made a mistake, and paid for it.
7 years later and the messiness of Howard's play still triggers me. Once or twice a game, sure, shit happens. This guy changes the game state every time he touches a template.
Nerf Mindlink. Mindlink shouldn't be available if all ships are stressed.
Can anyone think of a time in the movies where a bomb actually works? So why are bombs so good in this loser of a game?
This game is still unhealthy with the same old meta crushing any hope of inspiration. Its time for a second edition.
Amazing, the scum player really was better though, he should have won. Miranda was kind of a win button.
connor vinas Isn't that any rebel list though? With big turret ships, and shield regen? XD
Henry Machado Turrets and regen they could have handled. Bombs were too much. He did a great job of avoiding it but as soon as the bombs hit, his ships dropped.
wow.... that was the cheesiest thing I think I've ever seen.... O.o Bombs are busted....
