As a Bengals fan I'll never forget how the Bills fans came together and donated money to Andy Dalton's foundation. They are truly such a great fanbase and it's hard not to like the Bills even though they will more than likely get in the Bengals way for years to come now that both teams are good. Worldclass fans up there in NY.

As a lifelong member of Chiefs Kingdom I can speak for our entire fanbase when I say it’s an honor to have the Bills & Bills Mafia as our rival in the AFC. If the Chiefs don’t make it to the Super Bowl, I intensely root for the Bills to bring home the Lombardi trophy. The Bills Mafia is best summed up with this quote: “Winning and losing is temporary, class is permanent.”
Well, we love football madly, AND KNOW IT very well, so none of us could ever deny the incredible talent that Patrick Mahommes is an awesome player. IMO, Josh and he, are tied for the best 2 players in the league. We definitely "leveled up" this year with Von Miller, who looks like he's more than in good enough shape/condition to play out his 5 yr contract. He may just be the missing piece of the equation to getting past the chiefs. Either way, if you love football, you just want to see GOOD FOOTBALL, every year I always say, ...to whatever team eliminates us, I hope they win it all, that way ...at least you can say "we could only have been beaten by the team that ended up being the best". Cheers to a hopefully long and (not so)bitter rival with the Chiefs! It certainly has been shaping up that way. I believe that the comparisons of Allen/Mahommes being this generations Brady/Manning rivalry are well founded.

In the off season just after the NHL 100% PROVABLY, FACTUALLY SCREWED the Buffalo Sabres out of the playoffs with the Brett Hull NO GOAL, they CHANGED THE "SKATE IN THE CREASE" RULE! In this past off season, just after the Bills got eliminated by the ridiculous overtime rule, THE NFL CHANGED IT! Thats TWICE that professional sports leagues CHANGED THEIR RULES, IMMEDIATELY after Buffalo teams got screwed! THESE are the kinds of LEGITIMATE complaints Buffalo is, for whatever reason, constantly being subjected to!

Our Raptors showed the world what a championship parade is all about and i think of western New York as Onatrio South.
I still get chills whenever I see the video of the locker room celebration following Dalton's throw to Boyd. Kyle Williams holding his kids and tearing up is particularly impactful.
Wish Kyle was still on the team for this, he was great through the tough years!

I'm 45 next month, I've been a Bills fan since '87. I've never been to New York, one never been to a game, I live in Washington state.
I made it through 4 lost Superbowls and 17 years of no playoffs. I've seen my heroes all retire and I've found new heroes.
Being in the stadium for a real Bills game, is on my bucket list.
I'm a Bills fan till I die... Go Mafia!!

@@sports_docs I HATE the idea of a new stadium. Ive had season tickets in row 2, directly next to the tunnel since 1987! I'll never be able to get seats like that in a new stadium, and most likely wont be able to afford ANY season tickets ANYWHERE in a new one. For as "respected" of a fanbase as we are, I feel pretty disrespected about this! You go to a stadium to watch a football game, NOT eat 4 star dining, or get catered to in a million useless ways. Besides 99% of fans eat their fill of their own delicacies before they go in anyway. I buy 1, or(rarely)2 beers, each game, ive probably bought nachos a handful of times in 35 years! I go in, go to my seat, watch the damn game, and leave. There is NOTHING wrong with that stadium, it functions perfectly! The idea of spending $2billion for something that gets used for 5 hours 8-11 times a year, just for luxury's sake, is disgraceful! Especially the plans for it to have LESS SEATING! So yea, try to get to a game before they build a new, sterile, unnecessary, characterless monstrosity, because its shameful to waste THAT MUCH MONEY, when we have a perfectly fine, functioning, stadium, THATS LONG SINCE BEEN PAID FOR!

This was amazingly done! As a lifer myself, this really hit home. I was in elementary school when the Bills made their 4 straight run. Like so many, I lived the heartbreak, the drought, and now the rise to glory. Im not gonna lie this brought tears to my eyes, and didn't even mention the donations Bills Mafia made when Lamar Jackson got hurt while playing against us. We went public expressing his gratitude several times. We care because we feel deeper than most what it would be to lose one of our stars.

As someone who lived through the 4peat, one was my best moments as a Bills fan is being transferred to NOLA during the summer abt 10 years ago & someone from work finding out I'm from Buffalo and having to find me to join the Booster Club. No one else was from Buffalo, & only 2 from the NY. Those ppl are still in my life everyday. My best friends were a couple who w lifelong Bills fans from Trinidad.
Right on Beth. It also speaks volumes that Bills Mafia knows nothing is more important than taking care of each other, regardless of rivalries in a beloved game. That game is much more than a game to many of us, but still a game nonetheless.

Fun fact: Most major cities tend to smell like some combination of hobo urine and despair (especially on the east coast). Buffalo however, thanks to the General Mills plant making Lucky Charms and Cheerios just inside city limits and upwind of most of the city proper means Buffalo quite literally smells like childhood nostalgia. Most people describe it as smelling like cupcakes. With that in mind, our ability to ignore the current and remember the greatness of the past, as well as being hopeful for the future in all circumstances shouldn't really surprise anyone. We are a region of child like dreamers with adult expectations. Is it surprising this sentiment spread as far as it did, especially at this time?

I was born and raised in Buffalo. Went to school all the way through my residency in Anesthesia. I left after my mom died and went to Cleveland… but Buffalo has always been in my heart. The people and the fans are so special.. My journey with the bills started in 1964.. Jack Kemp, Cookie G., Dunnaway, etc… KC broke my heart that year…. Did it again 58 years later… I just wanna see one Championship for my Bills and the city I still love… I miss it… it was my home. Maybe, just maybe, this will be the year…..

“If the team lost, it felt like the whole city lost.” Very true. We are 1. But it’s not just Buffalo. It’s all the surrounding cities. It’s the city of Niagara Falls, its where im from, the city of Rochester, the cities of Lockport, Batavia, and even Syracuse. When the team loses the whole region feels that way. We are all one. Western NY. When one city sneezes, we all catch cold.
I encountered a lot of people like that when I lived in WNY. It's the dumbest mentality to have and counter productive to having one's own meaningful life. I have too many friends who let that garbage franchise (Sabres too) dictate and affect their personal lives. It's pathetic.

Highmark Stadium/New Era/Ralph Wilson/ Bills Stadium/Rich Stadium is right behind my place of employment. I've gone to work on Football Sundays and stood out back and admired what my senses felt from a distance... The smell of grills cooking burgers, hot dogs, brats, wafting across the parking lot and Smokes Creek to the back parking lot of my work place. The Bills "Shout" song being played over and over. The laughing and hooting and hollering is epic. Love this team, city and our Mafia.

Holding the county and region hostage for stadium deals (and lease renewals)just so they can have a generally crappy team to call their own. The NFL should have moved them 20+ years ago. WNY deserves better than that trash and it's trash fans.

I'm British and have been a Bills fan since 1983. When the NFL was first televised in the UK back 1982, most UK fans seemed to follow team like the Cowboys, Redskins, Dolphins and 49ers, so I wanted to chose a different franchise. Ironically I've attended Bills games in several American cities from Oakland to New York, but never in Buffalo (yet). 👍🇬🇧😉

Born in the 50's. Daryl Lamonica was my first football crush. My dad helped build the steel plants and then lived to help tear them down. The city has been through a lot, but there it stands, still beautiful and strong. Live in Colorado now (Denver passed on Josh Allen???), still hopeful they will bring the big one home before I pass away. Love you, Bills.

Buffaloian my whole life. My family are die hard BILLS FAN ONLY! I remember my father going absofreakinglutely insane for 4 years in a row to everytime we lost the Super Bowl! He was convinced the BILLS would only win a Super Bowl when he died. Exact words!! He sadly and suddenly passed away 10/09/21. 😔 He was my best friend and role model and the reason I'm a one team man... THE BUFFALO BILLS!! I came from a small Texas town to Western NY back in December of 1988 and after one season became a Bills fan immediately and my first NFL game ever was a Bills game. I moved back down to Texas in 92 and still had a dying passion for them and dealt with being bullied after the first cowboys super bowl loss, but now people that I graduated high school with down in Texas 23 years ago always tell me I hope you guys win it this season because you’re fanbase and city deserve the hell out of it. You stayed loyal to your team all of these years.

Born and raised a Bills fan living in the capital district of NY. I have made the 4.5 hour drive out to Buffalo well over 100 times. My first game was Washington @ Buffalo in 1991. First playoff experience was Broncos @ Bills in 1992. I was 11 years old when the Music City Miracle happened. I was 29 when Andy Dalton made me cry tears of absolute joy as a grown ass man. Being a Bills fan wasn't easy for a solid 30 years, but the Buffalove was always there - and boy has it paid off to remain loyal to this team. Allen wearing 17 is almost like a sign from the football gods that he brought his generational talent to Buffalo to give Bills Mafia an era of football we will never forget.
9:15 I still get choked up watching this moment. Especially seeing Kyle, after everything he did for this team, get to celebrate it with his sons.

@@sports_docs In college football I am an LSU fan so it hits even harder. I wish the Bills would draft more LSU guys. DBU for sure but look how many good receivers and runningbacks have come out of that program in the last 10 years...
White, Matthieu, Peterson just to name a few DBs. OBJ, Landry, Jefferson, Chase for WRs. Fournette, Etienne for RBs. Need more LSU drafts on the Bills. But these days I don't trust it anymore. When Miles and Ogeron were around I knew the guys coming out had the stuff. With buttstuffer Kelly there my confidence has gone way down. Never trust and ex-Notre Dame coach.

I am from the Eastern end of NYS near Albany, but both my parents were born and raised in Buffalo. In 4th Grade every boy in my class, it seemed like, had and NFL team winter coat. Mostly Giants, Jets and Steelers. I was the only one with a Bills coat. My first NFL Jersey was #32 OJ Simpson (before the whole murdering thing. LOL) I was in college in a room full of Giants fans when "wide right" happened. Anyway, now it is OUR time. GO BILLS!!!

As a Dolphin fan Bill's Mafia is the best fan base in the league they are also the most generous. The city of Buffalo deserves a super bowl championship. This year might be the year they have an outstanding team.
I live ~15 miles from Buffalo. The 4-year run happened during my 4 years of high school.
The SB losses were so brutal, but the hype of those seasons leading up was real. The Bills captured the attention of local sports fans, the no-huddle was irresistible to watch.
The excitement felt then is comparable to the excitement felt now, surrounding the current team. Everywhere you turn around Buffalo, it's Bills Bills Bills. During the Rams game, I happened to be driving around the city, hearing/seeing fireworks go off in the neighborhood whenever the Bills scored, while I listened to the game on the radio .
Truly is a special time to be a Bills fan in Buffalo. Would be nice to finally win a championship!

Amazing job! I was born in Buffalo but raised in Memphis, TN. Memphis is like Buffalo in so many ways. The underdog city, Jobs lost, Dark history. I've never stopped loving the Bills and have always been able to identify with the place of my birth. So proud to be a Bills fan. I have been a Bills fan since the days of OJ Simpson, and had season tickets during the Super Bowl days of the 1990's, and the Bills definitely are a huge part of your life if you grow up in Buffalo. It is similar to a college town like Clemson or Auburn, as opposed to a pro team. If the Bills ever do win the Super Bowl that city will never be the same, but no city deserves it more.

I was 11 when the Bills made it to their first Super Bowl and the following 3 years we never had a doubt that the Bills weren't going to win one of them. And as every year went by and we lost again and again and again it never crossed our minds that it wouldn't happen. Then for 17 years we couldn't even get to the playoffs but every year we always told ourselves, we'll get thee next year. I remember when I was a kid and we would play football either in the back yard or at school we would idolized those Bills players from old, weather it be Thurman Thomas, Jim Kelly, Andre Reed, Bruce Smith. etc. and now to see my own kids do the same thing playing as Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Dawson Knox, Tredavious White, etc. and cheer for this team just like we did, which seems like an eternity now, makes me so proud and humble to still be a Bills fan and love this team. We don't need them to be the country's, or the worlds favorite team as long as they are ours that's all that matters. I had a friend of mine said that the definition of Insanity was doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result, but my point of view, cheering for the Bills still after all these years is insanity, it's called perseverance because eventually we will get there, and we will WIN THE WHOLE DAMN THING! And always remember what coach Levy said, "When it's too hard for them, it's just right for us"! GO BILLS!!!

I left Buffalo in 97. I worked for Jim Kelly at his nightclub, interacted with many Bills. Moved to Florida, Memphis and back to Florida. 2023 I’m moving back to Buffalo.

A Kansas Citian and lifelong Chiefs fan here. I can totally relate watching this. You Bills fans are my brothers and some day soon, you'll get that Superbowl(s). We were in the pits for decades at a time with sparks here and there, but things finally turned around for us. They've turned around for you too, and I'm confident that you'll get yours.
