Thank you so very much for sharing your own and so many of other women's (including my own) stories in such a profound and totally insightful way. Part of my healing has evolved thourgh helping to raise over seventy of other people's daughters who had been traumatized. For seventeen years I had a therapeutic foster care program for behaviorally and emotionally challenged teenaged girls. I will share this with all of them who are still within the reach of my computer and pray that they, in turn, will listen to your wisdom and share it with their own children, both female and male. I will ask my friends and their friends to share it because the power of social media is strong and together we can make a difference. Indeed, being female is complex. God bless you as you heal through sharing your story.

The name "Rehtaeh" is "Heather" spelled backwards. That's pretty cool.

I decided to pray for Rehtaeh, her dad, and you for 30 days... and I don't even have a religion. I am truly sorry for your loss. 힘 내세요!

I so understand - growing up in the sixties and seventies was a horrific time for not only females - males too
