    Ironically Hurts was in a shootout against Mahomes, Burrow and Allen the last two seasons and won all those games

    The other element that can't be understated about Jalen Hurts is that he's literally had a different offensive coordinator EVERY year that he's played either college or professional football, so the fact that he's still a relatively solid QB despite the instability is pretty remarkable (vs Patrick Mahomes who's had Andy Reid for EVERY single year of his career).
    Just a thought from a Packers fan who's rooting for the Eagles in this Super Bowl 😊

      Agreed that year he said changed the way he played quarterback because he had the best statistics in the Super Bowl and still lost that's why he doesn't care about numbers and accolades who gone get talked about 20yrs from now Dek Prescott throwing for 400yrds on a game or Hurts winning the Super Bowl these analyst are cringy

  • @jctslice
    @jctslice 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +8

    See, historically speaking, I don't see how this is possible. History says that it's very rare for the QB of a team to make multiple Super Bowls and be a limited factor in why the team does this. Even with Eli Manning, who is probably the guy most would think of as a possible example of this, Eli Manning's 2011 season was actually pretty good. That Giants team ranked dead last rushing wise & they had an average secondary. They still had the pass rush, but that team was far from amazing. That's why they were only 9-7 lol. 2007 he was far from great, but 2011, he was actually pretty good. If Hurts had only made the 1 SB, you can make this case. Making 2 makes the case Nick Wright is trying to make much harder to make

    • @michaelheath9012

      The media hates Philly. Even when they won the Superbowl with Nick Foles the reaction from analysts was more about how the Patriots lost the game more than the Eagles winning.

    Eagles fan here. My only criticism of Jalen is not throwing the ball away when he’s outside the pocket. I can say it but that’s because he’s Philly family and I rock with Jalen. He’s a talented QB and most importantly a winner. Nick Wright is a hater and a rage baiter.

    Eagles lost 3 games this year lost to Falcons on Saquon dropped pass, lost to Tampa Bay with ALOT of starters out and lastly lost to Washington. Washington game eagles were up 7-0 driving when Jalen got injured. I’m just wondering when did Jalen cause a loss. Even last year the defense was the problem and they still started 10-1. Thereafter show me a time in Jalen’s career that you can point and say he caused his team to lose with unbiased eyes and actually watching the game not stats.

    Nick goes down with the “take ship”. First and foremost he is big believer in pedigree guy (highly rated in high school and college), and an even bigger believer that the best QBs are high round picks. The bias and skepticism he puts on lower drafted QB’s is constant, and beyond frustrating. Not to mention his preseason takes on the Eagles. He picked them to miss the playoffs, said Saquon wouldn’t be a difference maker, he’s always been anti-Hurts (still resents that the masses would say that he outplayed Mahomes in the Super Bowl), and that Sirianni could be the first coach fired.

    The whole conversation about quarterbacks these days is frustrating to me. It just seems to me, and maybe I’m wrong, but we’re obsessed about deciding who’s the best quarterback. I’m not interested in that at all, I’m not interested in debating that if you switch Brock Purdy And put him on the bills does he still win? Who cares. What I care about for my team and every other team is Ken the quarterback win the Super Bowl with the team that he’s on? Again, I don’t think actual football people talk about this kind of stuff. This has to just be a TV social media fan thing.

    The only great playoff game from Hurts was the Super Bowl that they lost. Even in that Super Bowl, he lost a fumble for a touchdown. Hurts is good and has holes in his game, but he is helped tremendously by his elite team and that is not a bad thing. There just isn’t much credit to give him when he has possibly the best qb situation in NFL history

  • @kingquince9184

    Jalen could build a team machine and Nick would say too late!!!
    Stop moving the goalpost just because you don’t care for a QB. We get it, he doesn’t spin the ball the way you like but he spins it enough to win at a high rate and the stats prove it! Jalen was a 2nd rounder people had pegged as a career backup/gadget guy aka Tyson Hill but has eclipsed every projection the naysayers had for him! There is a reason why he’s going back to his second SB in 3 years and if you don’t think he played a major part in it, you don’t watch football.

    Well Nick has been pushing this false narrative that Jalen isn't that good of a passer all year. He didn't just start when AJ made his comments, Nick has been knocking his passing stats and dismissing his achievements all year. The only shootout game the Eagles had all year was that first game against Green Bay and the Eagles won it. Out of the 3 losses the Eagles had this year only one of them (the Tampa Bay game) can you say Jalen didn't play well in. The fact is the Eagles have been a run oriented offense that has run the ball more than any other team in the NFL this year (621 rushing attempts), and they have had the lead in their games the vast majority of time so they haven't needed to pass the ball a lot. But when they have needed to pass it Jalen has done a good job with a 68.7 completion %, and a 103.7 passing rating for the year. Nick is clearly bias against Jalen Hurts.

      He would put him at the top of the mountain and would say "he's undefeated" or Mahomes would have a game where he'd throw an INT and have a passer rating under 100 and Nick would say, "Mahomes played perfect" To the point where literally every single person on FTF called him out. From Brou, Wildes, Greg, Manginni etc. Even said Mahomes should be in the top for MVP consideration. So nothing I said was inaccurate
