It wasn't an original feature of the park. The Marriott era had a much more elegant entrance plaza. If anything, the original ticket booths were a much bigger loss.

This is such a great park! I love its atmosphere and look forward to all of the upgrades being complete. To be honest, these renovations were long overdue because some areas were feeling a bit dated. Change is always good. It just takes adapting with a change of mindset.

Great America was a theme park I frequented growing up. I appreciate getting updates on its status. Bummed to hear it’s a construction zone, but hopefully it will be worth it in the end.

Going as a kid was a treat. The only thing left I think from my childhood is that merry go round. The whizzer and American eagle. I was so mad when they took shock wave, iron wolf and it was a bobsled rollercoaster I think it was called roaring or rolling thunder.

Omg I was so pissed when I came back and seen shockwave gone. It was a much more thrilling ride than Superman and it was the very first “big” roller coaster I rode as a kid.

By the time I made it to the park on May 23, Sky Striker was already relatively built but they were still building the ride booth and all that fun whatnot, all the support legs were up and the seats were installed

I never saw any news about removing revolution or Mardi gras hangover. Not that I’m surprised, one has been made irrelevant by the new ride and the other was a mistake from the start

I think they should either so some new tightened track, or rmc American eagle for it's 51st anniversary. Give it it's milestone. Then fix it! If they did rmc it I think they should 2 ride experience like twisted Colossus!
