rami's lower tone is INSANE and sooo satisfying to listen to 😇
I love her voice. One of my favs from the rookie groups.
Rami's voice is so addictive. Her prechorus and bridge are my favorite ❤
"I'm a big fan of you enjoying things" I laughed so hard 😂
You may like their B-Side "Like That" (*Charlie Puth wrote and produced it*) I don't want to give the style of the song away but it's different than Sheesh. I believe YG made a statement late fall he hired 30-40 producers and the entire album had already been planned and recorded for the most part by then. We shall see how this plays out. At the end of the day, YG is YG. Usually, Kpop groups find/start their own signature sound or at least differentiate themselves from other groups starting at 3rd comeback moving forward. I do agree they have infinite potential and looking forward to seeing where they go next cause their full album is coming around the fall according to Yang Hyunsuk.
The rap lyrics(a lot of the songs lyrics actually) are actually a lot better when you come at them from a Korean's point of view. itsANDYandJAS do a great job of breaking down the rap section and explaining the lyrics there. There's just cultural and language nuances non-Koreans would have no way of picking up on.
Fax
Being cringe has nothing to with the language. The rap parts are literally the same in Korean, too. It's the same "We're the coolest, and we do everything better" etc lyrics that YG always does.
@david3388 what do you think bigup rap has always done?
@@David-wm5lc I don't care. That's not a real argument. The fact is, if you're eating the same food for YEARS, you're going to hate it eventually. With Blackpink, I didn't care, because they're not talented, just models. Only Lisa can dance and only Rose can sing. With BM, it's different, they could be a vocal group, but no, they're BP 2.0. but better singers with the same lame lyrics. That's why new YG stans are crazy too, they learn to behave like the lyrics: "We're the best, no one else matter". That's basically the meaning of every YG lyrics when it comes to the rap.
"i'm a big fan of you enjoying things" LMFAOOOOOOOOOOO
AHYEON HAS RETURNED !!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
ya know what, I like this reaction way more than a reaction I saw earlier on this song. that guy just came off way too negative, but with this reaction, you state everything in a fair manner. anyways, everyone has an opinion, and we are big fans of everyone enjoying what they enjoy haha
Let They Cook ❤️🔥👑🛐
BABY MONSTER 😜
RAMI, RORA and AHYEON are my favorite members in BABYMONSTER 😊
I always find it funny that some groups can NOT be critiqued honestly, like YG girlgroups. If you dare draw a comparison between Babymonster and Blackpink or say that their sound is safe or familiar, trust you'd almost be commiting a criminal offense. Stan twitter will rot the brain, I fear...
that's true for the opposite (the dumb YG hate train) as well. Its sadly "cool" in K-Pop fandoms to hate on YG and YG groups, especially since Blackpinks huge success. Its at a point where I'm ashamed to call myself a K-Pop fan, because of all the toxicity (from all sides and fandoms). There are just no "nuanced" discussions on social media.
@@Guthwulf11 BP faced a similar hate train at debut, but it is on steroids for this rookie group, because of BP success and every other fan knows they will be fighting for 2nd again. They are trying to nip BM in the bud before it fully blossoms. It is funny for YG stans when they compare to BP and not all the other YG groups.
These girls have been dreaming of producing YG bangers since they were 6.
Honestly, without the "sheesh" and the cringe rap lyrics, this song would be pretty good. Rami is a good vocalist, in my opinion she's the best in the group, that low tone was great. "Stuck in the Middle", "Dream" and "Like That" are decent songs, but I don't feel YG is trying to be different. It's sad, because these girls are actually good vocalists, but I'm too old (maybe) for this in your face rapping, and I don't think YG want to make them a vocal group like EXID, Apink, not to mention Mamamoo.
Thanks for checking out these M/Vs ❤
it's so unfortunate that you and so many reactors had to tread carefully with their words today. babymonster are an incredible group, but they're a YG group. YG producers all create very similar songs every time, that doesn't mean it's bad, but it's so easy to draw comparisons between blackpink and babymonster 🤷♂️ making comparions IS NOT hate.
Making musical comparisons is done in every single genre of music I listen to. Doing it in kpop is a no-no for some reason
@@KpopPrince yup, it's so frustrating that a loud minority of kpop fans seem to take full offence for honestly no reason at all
Hahahaha he is hater of YG lol I've watched some of his YG reactions and it is screaming HATE espcially his side comments to YG. Don't gaslight yourself!
@@r-yg445 you're strange
@@dobbystanskpopI think this reactor is strange and you as well because you support him. I think you are a hater too!
You should love "Dream", their first pre-debut song and MV (very vocal heavy and good meaningful lyrics). You also might enjoy "Like That", B-Side on this mini album that Charlie Puth gave them, because he was impressed with Ahyeons "Dangerously" cover. There is no arguing that the rap line in Babymonster is the best in K-Pop atm and they already showcased their impressive talents and flows in "Batter Up" (where ASA wrote the rap part) as well as here in "Sheesh". You don't get that level of rap in other K-Pop songs. But I agree that the rap lyrics (as well as the overall lyrics) are the weak point of "Sheesh" (luckily I usually don't care for lyrics in title tracks). Only other points I'm not sure about yet are the YG ending (doesn't fit) and the "middle eastern" instrumentals in the chorus (why provoke the Blackpink comparison?). But overall I loved "Sheesh" including the chorus. Of course, I love the YG style in general, so no big surprise there. This darker "gothic" concept suits them and might be a worthwile direction for the future. I'm also very impressed how they manage to balance vocal highlights with rap and give (in such a big group) each member moments to individually shine.
Dude wtf is going on in the comments 🙄 If you don’t like people’s opinions just don’t watch their video why do you need to bitch about it, it’s not like he was ever disrespectful or insulting to the girls, any criticism he said was about the composition of the song itself

AHYEONN!
Yall act like people can’t have a certain taste in music… have you ever thought that maybe yg isn’t producing his taste? And maybe the reason why he keeps coming back is that the hope that maybe he’ll like the song THATS WHY HE IS REACTING TO IT.. like yes its yg’s style but it gets tiring for people and that is a fact and that is okay… yall need more thinking skills and the rap does need work especially since rap comes from america as a american it needs work period the song ISN’T bad no but that is the point of OPINIONS something alot of yall don’t understand with reactors for some reason esp when your favs are involved… lord

- Let's try "Like That" B-side song of the mini album, the rap is by far satisfying, and I could say the rest is good, too.
- Refer to "Sheesh" I hope for the better rap rylics as well in the next next songs.
- The hook part's choreograph might have been designed for audience participation in concert, so it's not go much complicate and hard. It seemed you over expect for that, we have not seen the rest parts choreos yet, haven't we?
Pharita - serving visual and vocal 🥺🔥
Listen to like that!
That is Chiquita with the blonde hair in the intro in the center of the group in the intro with the pigtails. Choi Hyunsuk from Treasure wrote some of the rap so you can do what you want with the information. I agree about the lyrics it felt kinda empty during the chorus but Kpop is filled with Onomatopoeia's so I kinda learned to live with them. They can be a hit or miss depending on the song. Ahyeon in the Blue during the rap trio was the one who was on hiatus during their OT6 debut and pre-release song. I personally like the YG formula but to each their own and respect everyone's personal opinion's and taste.
me too, the yg formula always has me bopping my head away lol - as much as i wish they'd make titles that were a bit different, they'd done decently giving BAEMON Dream and Stuck In The Middle so far, so we can only hope for differing title tracks in the future, if not, we at least know we'll get bops :)
So much of the pre-debut built up anticipation for some of these girls that they could rap rap. I was really hoping they'd give them material (moreso I'm expecting them to write their own) to show out.
It just hasn't happened yet. Nobody is denying the flow. Maybe my expectations were set too high.
I appreciate you having a different opinion and being cordial about it though!
@@KpopPrince I agree it’s frustrating and music industry is forever moving faster plus more groups debuting which likely contributes to empty or non serious lyrics. I usually just turn the lyrics off to help me not think about what they’re saying and just vibe and bop to the instrumental/cadence(flow). I think they just want a tik tok hit because they’re going to be doing promoting with the group and dance challenges.
RAMI STOLE THE SHOW
I agreed, the rap lyrics just... it's just not fit for what their capable of
You're correct, that's our Chiquita bro. She drips with rizz.
Pull up in a ghost peek a boo hoo, thats fire as hell...
Funny how you get called YG hater for not glazing this to high hell lmaooo😂 im on the same boat, love the verses and bridge, also the rap(minus the hippity hop part lol) but the chorus is awful and the chanting stuff at the end is too...
It's impossible to reason with some people. Everything is black or white with them, no room for critique and praise simultaneously.
Some may be confused that in the past when I've said I don't like YG, I meant the man not all the artists under the company.
@KpopPrince oh I know lmao I've been on stan twt enough🤣
여기서 나가
It's really poorly translated, they contain references to Batter Up; with a Korean saying; about the group's admission and logically its monster aesthetics and senses in music. I gave a summary, but there's more, it is better interpreted in the Korean language.
Since when did "sound like Blackpink" become a bad thing...
I understand why you don’t particularly like the lyrics for the rapline since you’re a foreigner like me but for the koreans, they have another meaning; deeper and kind of had a double meaning too. Oh well, we have different tastes so i don’t blame you.
What deeper meaning does "hippity hop hop boom boom pow" have?😂
@@SimpinKevin감정적인 폭발이 있는것은 가능하다 🔥💀❤️🔥💥
@@SimpinKevin Well, you’re reading the lyrics as it is. If you noticed the lyrics before that which was Ahyeon’s, it stated “Just dance to the music” which referred to the “hippity hop boom boom pow” lines of Ruka which basically meant just dance/jump to the beat/music.
Between this song chorus and nctdream new tt song chorus; I’m worried if this is gonna be a trend this year of underwhelming or bad choruses that bring the songs down. As for this song I think the verses are alright and the girls are talented but that’s about it; the song overall is outdated just like pretty much any yg release now and I don’t like the chorus. I want to like these girls because they are clearly super talented but I haven’t been liking their releases; only enjoyed one of their new b-sides so far. I’m willing to give them more chances tho to see if this is gonna continue or if yg will do something original and new with them worthy for their talents even the sets have been re-used like yg is being cheap rn and by doing that they are affecting these girls and being unfair to them
I've heard similar things about the NCT DREAM comeback. Nervous about that one 😅
Which set has been reused exactly?
Ruka and Asa both can wrote own raps
you can take bp out of yg but you can't take the bp sound out of BM lol
no hate but the rap is actually very wittily written and has a lot of references to monster high+ the Not 5 or 7, I am 10/10" - because baemon was supposed to debut as 5 members but debuted as 7 and has past references to yg songs too
I want to like this song so bad but the chorus is awful and it sounds like every other yg song. And the use of the word sheesh is just kinda cringe nowadays imo. The members are really good its just the company that's the issue
I liked the song more than i thought .i feel like ppl keep saying its the same yg stuff and blah blah blaj blah but fail to realise tht yg always had this type of style .now kpop stans expect music that not girl crush and want the overused nj sound .baemon currently is the only gg in this gen thts doing this type of music .if u lots seriously didnt care so much about making comparison to other groups u would realise the song its acc so much better than the pre judgment u had before and whilst watching the mv .
I think the baemon/bp comparison is extremely warranted because they essentially copy+pasted the sample from hylt in the lead synth (but less creatively) and pasted it onto the shut down structure with the more lilty outro/final chorus with a very rough transition
Feels very much like a 1st draft of a song with a decent foundation that was dug up from 2019 that could have been executed well but they forgot to actually build up and out from anything
here it is proven that babymonster is unique, From concept, visual, production, voice to dance and above all to rap
and Now We Have Three fierce rappers led by ASA AHYEON RUKA.
above all, I idolize ace ASA
there is news that He will be the leader of this group because He is part of cocomposing and writing the albums they will make
proving that ASA is not just talent, it's more than expected
and ahyeon will be the center. Not verified by yg
but true or not
in our hearts we believe in ASA's ability. let's support them by breaking the sheesh on their own record the batter up (TH-cam) on spotipy let's make noise
Let's be a part of our beloved babymonster
And 4 flawless vocalist rami rora pharita chiquita
I honestly feel like the remix of Stuck in the Middle that’s on the mini album is literally a carbon copy of 2NE1. YG finally realizing how bad they effed up and now it’s too late. It sounds really really outdated. THERE IS SO MUCH DAMN POTENTIAL. Rami can do anything. That angelic voice is limitless and now with Ahyeon joining the rap line, the stardom power is insane and once again I feel like YG’s dropping the ball.
They’ve really been going backwards after losing Teddy. They’re trying to replace him and create the same sound and it’s failing. Big time.
Can I ask for your reaction to the song FUEGO FROM THE NEW SIX, thank you
RORA can play piano 🔥🔥
I think the song did more for those who watched all their teaser, as teaser gave very heavy vibe but the song started very softly.
And WCYD it's YG doing their YG thing. BP and BM sure do sound similar and that's okay as for 2NE1 fans BP was same. YG songs are very similar structure and being compared to one another isn't new or anything.
And K-pop song or more like Asian language doesn't translate well in English language as Asian language tend to have a lot deeper meaning but when translated to english it sounds short and feel like it missing some context.

@@tonyghee0124 I love BM. This group has powerful vocals. But when YG uses a style that we have heard many times. I feel that the talent of these girls is being wasted.I really wanted BM to have his own style, but YG doesn't want to change its money-making formula.

He’s a hater reactor because he’s the only one being honest? He said he really likes some parts of the song and doesn’t like other parts, is that not fair enough? Let people have opinions; not everyone’s gonna love the same song just because you do.
@@oFlora111 rubbish, plenty of people might not like all of the song, but it is they way he went into it with a closed mind, you can see it on his face and in his expressions.
@@oFlora111 I watched his other yg arrtist reaction videos so I have basis of what I am saying. If he is honest then all of us can be honest as well. And Yes let people have their opinion including me! Duh!
@@David-wm5lc that's right. the reactor is also honest that he doesn't like YG. It shouldn't be a surprised.
actually, their song is good but yg should have given them their unique colour of song rather than using the bp instrumentals over and over again.baemon have more vocal range than bp so yeah and also what's with the eng lyrics?the album contains 7 songs out of which 3 +1 remix have already released. then the next three sheesh monster and like that ..monster is just an intro song with them screaming and saying they are the monster then comes the title track sheesh which I will talk about later, then comes like that its a total English song sung beautifully by baemon .reason to why i said all of these
1) if we were to hear English songs we have Western music artists (Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and so many more)there was no need to get into K-pop. people liked K-pop because of their catchy hooks and ofc the whole Korean language that fascinated many, also their translated beautiful lyrics which helped many people across the world .now not only baemon but almost whole kpop industry is obsessed with who release more english lyrics in the name of Korean songs.and now sadly baemons whole album is almost 85-90% in English .if this is wat they wanted they could have just said we are releasing an English album
2) what is the meaning behind the song sheesh?is it just and intro about them or are they addressing their haters(FYI i am a lyric enthusiast and this song no one really got what they are trying to convey)
3) They are also kids 5/7 are still minors giving them a song which they cant even relate to is yg's fault. no company should debut minors!
NOW ABOUT SHEESH ,
the song arrangement and vocals are good but the lyrics and their meaning are the soul of a song .here the song has no soul even though they are sung by soulful people .its sad, we can see their incredibly high vocals whispering vocals low register music is not for show off its for the soul and body. many people misunderstand concept of music with just some backing instruments and some random singing.yg should find a good lyricist.
FYI-This is not hate i want to point out all of these things with a mind that people can be aware of these things, also there may be typos pls ignore it!!
ALSO PLEASE DON'T MISUNDERSTAND MUSIC.MUSIC IS NOT JUST THE VIBE JUST LIKE IN A MOVIE MUSIC HAS SO MANY ELEMENTS FIRST IS THE LYRICS, THEN IS THE BGM ,THEN COMES EXECUTION EVEN IF ONE GOES WRONG MUSIC WILL NOT BE THE SAME
This is just a minor hate this can pass
