I’m not normally big on anime. In fact it’s not that often that I actually find one that I can enjoy... but I have absolutely zero regrets after watching this show. This series really touched my soul in a way that most stories rarely do. Especially the music.
Since the first time I saw an anime that was this Fate Stay Night series in 2006, I felt a lump in my throat when I saw the ending ... I was used to seeing stories "almost always with a happy ending", but I never I expected something like this with this anime and since then I continue to see them today since so to speak it tells you and gives a somewhat more real ending so to speak. The other thing that I fell in love with very much obviously was also the soundtrack, VERY EPIC Many people underestimate anime, but there you find unique stories that you would not see elsewhere.
Each route in fate mirrors yhe personality of the heroines starring it: Heavens Feel is complex, cruel and unexpected. Much like how Sakura has many sides to her and how she has lead her life. UBW is where we discover the two sides of Emiya Shirou, like Rin has this tsun and dere to her. Most of all, Stay Night is straightforward and gentle. It merely serves as a prelude to the whole FSN gambit, and has the least plot tools in it. But it still had enough power to move our hearts and understand Saber's suffering. Frankly, Saber's route is the plainest out of the three. Most would argue that Sakura suffered the most and so she should have the best ending. Rin undoubtedly was the most straight forward and showed Shirou the most affectionate actions. Meanwhile, Saber is emotionless, stoic, and strong. But, that's what makes her great. She just a big walking epitome of being 'a king'. One who has wasted her life embodying the assigned purpose to her without a single complaint. And at the end, doubting herself. Fate is a tale of redeeming that confidence. Fate might be the most boring route, in terms of length, complexity, etc., but it is the noblest of all. Fate stay night had its flaws but one of the things that makes me love it so much is that they keep certain moments like Sabers summoning very memorable.
Best route, best girl and bless Merlin for giving her a chance for a happy ending with Shirou. This OST will never be replaced in my heart as one of the most beautifully orchestrated songs ever.

For those of you wondering why this song sounds so bittersweet and also suitable for Saber's character. First of all, this song is written in the "Dorian mode," the same musical scale used in lots of Medieval songs like Scarborough Fair. You'll hear the same scale used for lots of anime/videogame knights like FF9's Beatrix (search for "Rose of May.") Second of all, the Dorian mode is pretty much a minor scale but modified with a major 6. In short, the song sounds sad (due to minor scale,) but the major 6 (like the intro chords at 0:03 and 0:07) adds just that tiny bit of hope.

Ah I remember back then, after the summoning scene of Saber in episode 2, Fate stay night all of a sudden started getting popular and viewed by many people on the TV network in Japan. Oh just letting you know that Fate(or rather the whole of type moon franchise) started becoming super popular and getting many viewers after Fate stay night aired. If you think you can simply skip Saber route, just know we would never have gotten the newer Fates if it weren't for Studio Deens Fate stay night. I enjoyed it when it aired and even now it holds a special place in my heart. The summoning scene of Saber is just so memorable. Kawai Kenji did an excellent job with Fate stay night music.
I've come to love it. Besides the VN it's probably the best intro to the franchise (you don't need any prior knowledge of other Fate media). I still think the VN is amazing, but I know VNs aren't for everyone.

People keep saying that it's bad, mixed with other routes, doesn't portray inner monologues.. the latter is what Ufotable does half the time, and I'm okay with both doing that, but it's a little hypocritical of people to only blame DEEN. As for the former, like, this is literally what you're first gonna watch. Except for a few changes of scenery and the Sakura thing, literally nothing was changed. I wasn't completely sure what servants were by the end of Saber Route, and people think that I would pick up on the bad interpretation despite having never read/watched it? People should just come out and be honest that they're just stuck-up because of the animation...which is honestly not that bad for the time. Petition to stop bullying poor 2006.

I love how beautiful this song is. It's appropriately medieval, elegant, and sturdy. It sounds like both a lullaby and a lament. Truly a piece of music deserving The King of Knights.

For me FSN 2006 is emotionaly better than UBW. Plus, with that soundtrack. Still on the top OST than F/SN UBW. Remember it's the "true" and first route sequel of Fate/Zero.

I heard this song on my dad's phone today. It sounded extremely familiar, I knew that it was from an anime I've had watched before. I had to extract the audio from the video my dad was watching and reverse search it. I've never reverse searched a song, just to remember which anime it was from. I love fate for things like this.

I've come to love it. Besides the VN it's probably the best intro to the franchise (you don't need any prior knowledge of other Fate media). I still think the VN is amazing, but I know VNs aren't for everyone.

I enjoyed this show very much and I cried at the last episode when Saber says farewell to Shirou, all the time they’ve spent together just springs up into your feelings when its time for them to part ways but most of all I cried even more at the moment when Saber lies under the tree and the ending song started playing. People call it a bad anime but I don’t understand how a bad anime can make me feel so emotional and cry?😂
@@haveagoodday7021 That's exactly what I always say. It's the perfect introduction that will hook you onto the story. People keep saying that it's bad, mixed with other routes, doesn't portray inner monologues.. the latter is what Ufotable does half the time, and I'm okay with both doing that, but it's a little hypocritical of people to only blame DEEN. As for the former, like, this is literally what you're first gonna watch. Except for a few changes of scenery and the Sakura thing, literally nothing was changed. I wasn't completely sure what servants were by the end of Saber Route, and people think that I would pick up on the bad interpretation despite having never read/watched it? People should just come out and be honest that they're just stuck-up because of the animation...which is honestly not that bad for the time. Petition to stop bullying poor 2006.
when I saw FSN for the first time I literally fell in love with Saber Just like Shiro did and I cried when they were separated. This is still my most favorite anime.

I‘m pretty sure a lot of her knight appreciates her in their own way. Even in F/Zero Lancelot with madness enhancement thought about it. when she died, Bedievere still followed her last command, I mean I wouldnt care about it if I didn’t care about her.

I mean I don’t care abt the animation as well but cmon fsn is a poor adaptation of the fate route. If there’s one thing they capture well it would be the scene where shirou and saver first. For me FSN 2006 is emotionaly better than UBW. Plus, with that soundtrack. Still on the top OST than F/SN UBW. Remember it's the "true" and first route sequel of Fate/Zero.
+ItachiiXSaber Nope, actually there's not a "true and first" route of Fate/Zero. All three routes of Fate/Stay Night are valid sequels. Fate Route is the introductory route, followed by UBW and HF :)

FSN has some of the best OST in the series, a shame many wont experience it due to the anime adaptation being pretty mediocre..
I tried watching it 😞 watched till ep 12 then gave up so I didn't end up brain dead. Almost didn't watch the rest of the fate series cause of the trauma I received cause of the 2006 one.

I heard this song on my dad's phone today. It sounded extremely familiar, I knew that it was from an anime I've had watched before. I had to extract the audio from the video my dad was watching and reverse search it. I've never reverse searched a song, just to remember which anime it was from. I love fate for things like this.
