Hyram is a gem! The fact that he actually understands ingredients and researches what is in products is amazing! Too many other you-tubers are suggesting and preaching about "amazing" products that will in reality destroy peoples skin barriers! Burt's bees did start out at a farmers market but unfortunately, they sold to the Clorox company and it shows!!
It started out owned by a guy really called Burt. Burt is a real guy! He kept bees himself and made the natural products from scratch.
When Burt and his wife divorced, she took the company. So now Burt and his bees have no involvement in the company at all!
Then Burt's ex-wife sold the company to Clorox for several million dollars (if my memory serves me correctly).
What used to be an awesome holistic company is now a sellout. Very sad.
I never buy Burt’s bee products because it’s not organic and I know a beekeeper who sells his own lipbalm it’s 100 times better!

It use to be good, the original maker had actual natural ingredients. When he died, his wife sold Burt's bees to Clorox, it went downhill after that.
That always happens when family businesses sell out to corporations. Colgate bought Tom's of Maine and now the products look just alike. I no longer use them.

It’s because the original owners don’t manage it anymore 😢
They sold out and all the formulas got changed.
Back when I was in high school the boys would do this thing they called “beezing” where they would rub original burts bees chapstick on their eyelids. It would make their eyelids tingle and make their eyes water and eyes turn red. High school was weird.

I literally use Burt's Bees night cream and it is AMAZING my skin shines and it has changed my skin on face it used to be rough and crispy and after that night cream my skin was soooooo soft.

I am so thankful for your content. As I was watching this video, I decided to look at the ingredients of my now former skincare products from Botanics, which I had been using for 5 years. My moisturizer had denatured alcohol, which from another experience I had with it, gave me a headache. I used this moisturizer for 5 years without looking at the ingredients, during these years, I would get severe migraines, unknowingly exposing myself to this ingredient.
So thank you so much for making me examine my skincare products and finding the most likely source of my migraines.

Burt's Bees started out as a more natural products company. Clorox wound up buying them out around ten years ago and everything went downhill with their products.

Burt's Bees actually started as a candle making business between Burt and his his friend Roxanne who had a honey business. There is a really interesting documentary about Burt called Burt's Buzz that you should check out!

It's not that hard if you focus on what you can find that is best for your type of skin. Ignore the rest. There are websites that lists items that do or don't have specific items, like palm oil, lanolin, hyaluronic acid, etc. You don't need a spreadsheet, you just to do less research than you think you need.

I have combination skin and I’ve always struggled with cleansers and moisturizers. Even oil free formulas are terrible. I’ve been using the Burts bees cleansing renewal scrub with a “retinol alternative.” I was really iffy about it at first, but I got it for Christmas so I decided I’d try it. It’s really wonderful. It’s creamy and soft. If it didn’t say it was a scrub I would never guess. It’s soft and light and doesn’t break me out. After I use it my skin isn’t super dried out and it always feels soft and looks soft.
This channel is my new guilty pleasure!! 👍🥂❤️🤗

We actually share some of the same favorites. I started using the Sensitive Skin Facial Cleanser and Daily Moisturizing cream because it was a top shelf item.After a month I went back for more. Going to keep these in the rotation. I use it twice daily. I was pleasantly surprised at how it manages to keep my skin clean and moisturized. I only have these 2 products and am watching a review 3 months later and I must say I am glad you enjoy the ingredient list because my skin has been enjoying it as well.
FitForRunway I also bought the sensitive facial cleaner and sensitive daily moisturizer on a whim. The cleanser is only the second cleanser I’ve managed to find that doesn’t make my face feel incredibly dry or itchy after using and the moisturizer is just the right amount that I don’t feel like my face is sweating.
PLEASE DO ON FOR “GLOSSIER” AND “I DEW CARE”

I just start watching you and I’m already obsessed with you! We share a lot of similar views on skin care and agree on products! I love you! I agree the daily moisturizer is BOMB and the sensitive skin facial cleanser. Funny because I’ve always wanted to like this brand and never could because of all the essential oils and fragrances they don’t disclose on their labels just like you said but I was so ecstatic when they came out with fragrance free sensitive skin Products because I figured since they’re for sensitive skin and they must have really low drying ingredients and have found to love both of those products when it comes to drugstore choices, thank you for making these amazing videos and helping all of us who can’t afford to go see a dermatologist and just need a little extra advice.

I love the new Burt’s bees sensitive line and their glow line even though it has fragrance (it’s pretty low on the ingredients and I’m not sensitive to it.) but their sensitive daily lotion is so good and works for my dry skin

I worked for Burt’s Bees for 2 years and they treat their employees like the garbage that they claim doesn’t get sent to land fills. I do like the sensitive lotion and still have several bottles of it in my cabinet but I personally prefer the lip glosses over the lip balms any day.

Thank you for being honest and saying that just because a product has natural products and formations are not necessarily always good, i for one find i have a major skin sensitivity to witch hazel, peppermint and shea butter - which both seem to be in a lot of face product and body washes (shea butter more so here), am also very allergic to wool based products as well, so natural doesn't always work out well

kate alexis my experience has been iffy. Somedays it seems to work but it didn’t do anything life changing because I still have the same issues. I just changed my cleanser too because it wasn’t doing anything for me so I’m doing one he recommended in one of his vids to see if it helps.
Try plain honey! Apply it like a mask for 20 minutes everyday it works! I've had acne for 7 years now and it's the only thing that works for me.
Sometimes you need medicated stuff. After spending hundreds on stuff that barely did it I ended up caving and got medicine
Taylour Steeves Yeah I went to see a dermatologist and they gave me multiple things and nothing worked then I tried Honey and that actually did something for me. I'm not saying mediation doesn't work but for some people it doesn't. If someone's having skin issues they should definitely see a dermatologist if they can.

you should talk to your doctor about that. Like, I have eczema too and I went to my doctor and gave me a tube of “dovobet” and it works wayyy better than anything you could get from a drugstore.

I have eczema on the back of my scalp and eye lids so I’m unable to use most products as there’s creams which obviously I can’t rub into my hair or eye safe 😕

its not good, there are many dermatologists on here that reviewed them. they dont really do much but they're not horrible for your skin. just not really beneficial in any way. the dermatologist did say that you can use them as a foot exfoliator/scrub tho

I use their sensitive skin care line, and let me tell you. It’s the only thing that has been able to control my hormonal acne. So to know that you think their products are good (for the most part) helps a lot!
