    I find your way of producing this video quite well done. I suppose everyone has their own way of understanding just how they comprehend no matter how yet I feel the positives they relay about such should come before their objections. “Professionalism” at times isn’t what it’s all about. I’m so thankful for the time you dedicated to this. I learn many things here.
    Thank you so much, it’s certainly appreciated.

      +psych4240 Why thank you very much. :) Video quality has improved a GREAT deal, but I'm still not out to make professional videos. It's about having fun and not creating a stuffy atmosphere.

    stumps are made from compressed paper, tortillions are rolled paper. stumps are general smoother, as the edges of the rolled tortillion are raised, and I have found stumps to be softer compared to torts. you can sand both , with the torts you need to sand towards the point and not side to side, this helps to feather in the ridges which reduces the rare chance of accidentally indenting your paper . You can't use a pencil sharpener on the stumps but you can use a knife but always use sandpaper afterwards as any ridges will mark your paper.
    Excellent video and some handy tips, I use Glassine paper as tracing paper can still smug. Glassine paper is resistant to grease, air and water and can found online, art stores or at deli counters, if you ask nicely their might give you some for free

    I use Glassine paper instead of tracing paper as tracing paper will still cause smudging . Glassine paper is resistant to grease, air and water and can found online, art stores or at deli counters!, if you ask nicely their might give you some for free. I got mine on ebay as I wanted larger pieces. It looks like tracing paper and It's excellent for protecting your finished pictures as well .Lisa Lachri uses it for her works regardless of what materials she is using. Keep up the hard work .

    This was really awesome. I’d been looking for something suitable to put my gamsol in and never thought of the cotton ball trick. Also, the popsicle mold is really cool too. Keeping everything together has always been a bit of a challenge for me. LOL. I’m not the most organized of people. 😀

    Hi! Love the video. I'm a beginner in adult coloring. I wanted to know what brand of colored pencils do u use? I have prismacolor which I love it but it is very saturated. Also on your large flower how did u do the pink and yellow petals? Can u do a video on it? I really want to take my coloring to the next level. Need some tips

      Have you tired CastleArt color pencils? They are soft but not as much as Prismas. I love my Prismas cuz I don't have to push so hard unless I want too. But I really also like the CastleArt. I was really surprised when I first used them. Great pencils and not spendy. I got them on Amazon.

    Did u make ur border or did u purchase it? I put my pics in sleeves and then in a notebook. I put them on colored card stock that matches a color in my pic. Looks pretty that way but I like ur border as well.

    I have been enjoying your videos and Facebook page! I had missed this one though. I have a HuHu electric eraser which I love! I wonder though, when yours goes down a bit and you want to move it up, have you had trouble with it falling out. I don't know if it is the intention for the bottom of the eraser to hold it in, if I'm doing something wrong or if my HuHu might have a defect. Again, I love it and I'm not really running out of replacements but I just wondered. Thanks for the videos!

    • @SimpleArtforAdults
      @SimpleArtforAdults  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      With mine, I can take the little metal guard out, pull the eraser up some, and then put the guard back in. No matter what I do, though, at least SOME of each eraser refill is wasted. There just comes a point where it's too small for the eraser to stay inside the body, if that makes sense. It seems wasteful to me, but I guess that's really the best possible design.

      @dinahcolorsronda5929 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Simple Art for Adults Thank you for answering so quickly 😊. I do understand what you are saying. I would expect there to be a little waste just to hold it in. I think my little clip might not be going down far enough into the handle. Again, I would recommend it. I have gotten many times more than my monies worth! I'm just thrifty! Lol

    Great tips thanks so much! I did want to give you a little FYI of my own! This is totally up to you but I found these pencil mat things on Jetpens,com they are thin plastic mats. They come in 2 different sizes. Usually they are used by people like me who are heavy handed when they write draw or even color. Place them under the page you are working on and it keeps any impressions from messing up the page behind what you are working on. BONUS 1 for me anyway they are great for laying your hand on while coloring so you don't smear, 2 I also use them with markers when I color so any bleed through want damage my next page and 3 of course when coloring drawing or writing with pencil it stops imprinting on the next page oh yea and 4 they are less than 3$ each on jetpens. Now as I said they come in 2 sizes I purchased 2 of each just because I'm A D D and tend to be working on a million different things at once. Any way take a look you may even find more uses for them than I did. Thanks again it's always the most simple things we as humans always seem to not think of. Can't tell you how many times I've seen something so simple and thought I really need to learn to think outside the box more cuz I never would have thought of that! Anyway have a blessed day and HAPPY COLORING!!

    Cool use for the Popsicle tray! Love it! In my experience you've got to be careful about getting soft pastel on areas colored with Prismacolor Premier pencils because it will stain you your work. But oil based pencils like Faber-Castell poly's you can rub it all over and it won't stain it. I enjoyed your video and am looking forward to watching more.

    Hi, I enjoyed your video. Would you please tell me the name of the lady you mentioned that is on Etsy. You said she has coloring pages for sale. I noticed you haven’t answered viewers on this video, please answer my question. Honestly it is good for your channel to answer your subscribers or viewers. Thank in advance.

    • @MsHazza73
      @MsHazza73 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sherrell,
      It looks like she’s not going to answer your question. 🙃🤪🙁 Soooo....maybe I can help.
      I was recently in Etsy to download pages to watercolour. If you simply enter the search term ‘Coloring pages for adults’ it will give you literally thousands of pages to choose from of all genres. I was stunned at what I found. I went on looking for a basic page to watercolour and came away with an array of amazing artwork. People are incredibly talented. Etsy is a hidden treasure trove, that’s for sure. And whatever topic you love the most, be it animals, fantasy, religion, sport, abstract...you’ll find coloring pages for.
      The other thing I would do is if you’re wanting to print your own pages, ask your local art shop the best paper to print on. (Or ask Google 😄)
      For instance when I was learning modern calligraphy I printed my worksheets torn from an A4 ‘Bank Layout’ pad. The paper is extremely smooth and meant for calligraphy pens, Tombow pens, marker pens etc and won’t ruin their nibs.
      So I’m definitely sure there would be an equivalent coloring pad available that you can tear the pages out to print from your printer then give you a great coloring result.
      Good luck 🌈💜

    I have rather minor thoughts - just about the production. I have visual mixed dominance, and it was hard for me to follow. Audio and video are spotty as far as quality audio cuts in and out and the video were hard to watch when it isn't straight, the colors really change and the upside down cups was really disorienting to me. Still, it was great!
    Not polished and it didn't seem to be finished - but that wasn't what your intent was. Still, some work in these areas would give your messages more credence, and show you off better, because there are definite positives! Statements that you 'really weren't prepared' could have been better said more positively - that 'you were displaying a work in progress'. I'm being picky but think it could come across better - and you definitely deserve to show your positives off!
    That said, I really liked the ideas you shared - very nice! You have a very wonderful way about you that is engaging, sharing and just doesn't talk down. Nothing to add here - nicely done for content, and showing those bright qualities of yours!

      Oh, and it's not my intent to be 100% professional. I'm a mom, and I'm busy, and I'm scatterbrained. I have zero problem with letting that come through in my videos, because most people will relate. That's what I want - relatability, not professionalism. Thank you for your kind words!

    • @jankimbell7560
      @jankimbell7560 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand! I tried to communicate that professionalism was not your intent, but that ideas were! Your method of delivery is very easy to relate to, and won't put most people off. I just found it somewhat hard to watch, which got in the way of the actual message - for me. Your new tools should help tremendously. Keep it up!
