I've watched a couple of your videos now and I wanted to say I think they are really well done. You can tell you put some playing in your explanations. I've subscribed.
Really enjoy watching your videos. They are clear, well made and I love how you explain the rules of a game before going into your review. The way you break your reviews into positives, negatives and other aspects is very helpful indeed; your reviews are well structured and I find them very useful. Thank you and keep up the great work!
Great clear review, thank you! I was lucky to fiund this game in excellent condition with no pieces missing from a finnish red cross charity shop for 8 euros :) Can't wait to play it it looks beautiful!
Great playthrough from your other video.and awesome review video! Just a heads up, Pandasarus Games is doing a reprint at this moment, Sept '24, of Finca and even the expansion. There are a few changes, I think they change one of the fruit for fish, and the colors are more vibrant and the board is easier to read. I think it's right around $30.
Outstanding overview as always Jon. I feel like it might be a waste of your time and skills making a video for an out of print game though. Hopefully Finca will get a reprint soon.
+Board Game Briefs I see what you mean, but I also very much enjoy reviewing older games as well so that this channel isn't 100% cult of the new. I know the best way to grow a channel fast is to only make content for the newest games, especially if they aren't even out yet, but digging into something older is also satisfying. Plus, this is the "once per month" review that isn't chosen by me at all. The voting level supporters of my Patreon page nominate games from a huge list (every game I own that i've played at least 4 times) and then they vote on the nominations.
I've only seen pictures of the board online, and it always felt very... muddy. The goods tiles seem to be swallowed up by the board, since they are the same color. I assume this isn't a problem with the physical game?
+Ori Avtalion I've never had a problem glancing at the board and seeing what my options where, but I can see that as a possibility considering how much atsy green there is on the board and the tiles themselves. I like how the tiles mostly blend with the board, but I suppose it could pose a problem for some people.

Wow that's a great price! I hope you enjoy it, I've been meaning to get it back to the table again.

One of my most precious items. Also got the expansion. Been playing it for years.
Franjos Spielverlag just announced a multi language reprint of this for early next year!
Super mule!
Can't wait for the reprint btw!

There is a kickstarter-campaign for a re-print of FINCA:
