I call that hill @1:40 Monster Mountain. My grandpa gave it that name back in the 70's and it hasn't changed (if anything, it's gotten more difficult). Nearly impossible to not slip on the rocks especially when it's wet. Thanks for posting the video. I'm getting my goPro in a couple days.
FNA - Good job on this ride. I never got past the first boulder patch at the 45 second mark of your vid! Looks like lots of water on the trail that day to add some treachery. I am glad i didn't get pat that first spot, because it looks like there is some harder stuff up ahead!! I am equally bad at riding downhill in the technical stuff
- I know I am going to over compress the front suspension and end-O. I try to sit way back on the way down, but still scary for me. Me again - I am on a KTM 400 with old tires. I am very new to dual sport trail riding - less than a dozen times out. ** Can you offer some tips on how to maintain momentum or whatever else I need to do? My big fear is hanging up on or between the big rocks and breaking something, or losing momentum and not having anywhere to put my feet down.
