After streaming so many times (I couldn't count it anymore) This MV has deeper meaning than it looks.. First scene: Got trouble when they wanna go somewhere. Banana and banana milk that Yoseob step on representative of them and HS, that banana split into five are them, they five could avoid it but not banana milk, yoseob step on it.. is looks like a reason Yoseob wanna stop to walk again. Dongwoon drop his phone, phone represent communication, he couldn't communicate well with the agency, his reason to stop. Gikwang distracted by girl and then hit the pole, girl means temptation to stand alone, he has desire to stand alone but he aware of obstacles. Junhyung disturbed by flying chicken, chicken is representing of business, looks like he has been offered so many agencies, but he just walk away. Doojoon loose his shoes, it means he lose his motivation to walk further, but he still look for it and run once again. This scene is telling us their different reasons to quit. But there's bus passed by the empty halt, that's mean they already got up and catch up that bus together. Bus is representing of public vehicles that go around (Around Us). Second scene: Their working place laundry place, barbershop, and mini market. Laundry place, where to got clean shirt, they wanna wash away unnecessary feeling that left behind. Barbershop, where to got new haircut, they wanna try something new, so girl appear again, that's mean they wanna stand alone together, which means their own agency. Mini market, where to spend your money, they looks surprised that they should spend more then expected, but still they having fun with it, just laugh out loud, like it's all ours. Third scene: Butcher place, gikwang hold banana, junhyung hold knife, yoseob spring union, dongwoon chicken, doojoon hold a stick. Its maybe their roles in their agency, gikwang is main attraction, junhyung is the maker, yoseob is their mood maker, dongwoon is business brain, and doojoon is their pilar. Fourth scene: Dongwoon became main chef of Chinese noodles restaurant, looks like dongwoon who wanna start with their own agency to create long lasting history, the hyungs are following. Fifth scene: all of it came from television, they watch their own story, and just celebrate it on top of building.. then they walk together means all memories has pass and they happy now in bus, go around where they please. Then sixth scene: they lock up in freezer (blue box), when they still in their past agency, their lives like ticking clock, waiting to die, they're freezing couldn't do much but begging, but they still help each other to stay awake. Last scene: 하이라이트 tel 1016-0224, 1016 their debut date as beast, 0224 when they announced their new name. Both dates are precious for them. When they're eating popsicles, there's empty seat at the left, you know who belongs to seat on that chair... Why do I think after they changed their name, no one is giving them the attention they deserve? I mean they are dropping great bops and they are still the same Beast but with a different group name. And basically, all the title songs they have released so far carry the same message which isnto be happy and everything gets better. I appreciate their existence.
Aye M that why you need to do some research first🙈...their first comeback as highlight with 'plz dont be sad' actually did so much better than beast past release...no 1 on korean music chart for daily and weekly chart(highlight is the ONLY BOY GROUP who manage to get first on weekly chart) which is even beast cant do that...11 music show win this year..top ten on 2017 top korean album sales (and they are the only old group among trendy and popular third gen group and they actually surpass beast album sales for past two/three years..hihi) i dont think they will achieve all of this if people dont give much attention to them ...
what i meant was, people still call them beast, i know a lot of people who when i mention highlight the go like 'who?' and they i say beast changed their name and they know who they are, i do know that they're extremely well known in korea but like internationally it seems like people seem to forget about them.

I think they are better now because they can do whatever they want and they can explore and be more popular internationally. I love their over acting. They're so adorable. I love Yoseob's expressions (especially the "omg what is life" one at 1:27), Junhyung facing vvv common problems like a chicken flying at you, Dojoon scared while Yoseob shaves his non-existant facial hair, looking badass while holding veggies/cooking items at 1:52 and that everything is okay when you have ice cream.
This song made my day seriously. I struggle so much rn because I fail at getting a job and I can't afford my studies anymore... So I feel like the world is against me even tho I try so hard. But right. This will pass someday and maybe it will be a good memory. Not right now but maybe in the future

Different people like different things. If this is what the majority of people like, then it would have more views, simple as that. Don't say "we" when there's no specific person you're targeting, since obviously most people like those "insane dance skills and good looks". No offense, not saying you're wrong, but people have different tastes. Also, not everyone listens to the same kinds of songs to feel "relaxed and happy"
I dont Care That's the difference btw new groups and group who have in in the industry for 10 years and other old groups on the beginning where showing intense dance skills is needed but overall kpop now is focusing a lot on visual but that's because time had changed even the old kpop when we first saw it it was cringy but we like it and didn't care but other ppl will laugh watching it but now they will be amazed how great it is visually without talking of how great their dance or the song since kpop is beaming bigger companies are trying to get ppl's attention as much as they can and they can't do it with the old style that's why there is a lot of catchy songs in kpop nowadays

I have been having a hard time these past few days, dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts. However listening to this song cheered me up a bit and the lyrics made me a feel a whole lot better. The line "I often hate the world but I try to live and laugh out loud" hit me way too hard. Highlight helped me again T.T I'm thankful to these 5 talented guys, they've never failed in making me happy everytime i listen to their music. Please do support them! It's been 7 years that I'm a loyal LIGHT and they never fail to amaze me. They have helped a lot of people with their songs. I didn't really had hard times but everytime I was sad I was listening Beast songs to feel better. When I say that the only boy group I stan is Highlight people told me "I don't know what they have more than Big Bang or BTS for you to stan them". Popularity is not important for me but the personalities and music are and that's what Highlight have, something that I can't really find in other groups. I tried to get into other groups but aside their musics I couldn't really find a group that made me feel at ease like I'm with Highlight, maybe Winner I'm waiting to know more about them since I find that there is some similitaries between those 2 groups :) So don't worry HIGHLIGHT I will be a LIGHT till the end even though I'm the last fan ❤
I agree with you. It is their personalities that I like Highlight. Before I had fallen into any other group, i have been to a concert (wont mention the band name) which they have one of the biggest fandom. Their concert was really great with performances, but that was it. But then i went to a Beast’s fanmeeting. Although the scale was smaller, it was different. but i did feel that Beast/Highlight really love their fans. As they were singing and dancing, the members made eye contacts to their fans and smiled so many times. They looked at their fans adorably... also, when they did the talk it was very touchy. Since then i am very attached to Highlight and no regret for start liking them. The more i know about them, they are angels 👼
I can't really go to other idols 😂 I love highlight/beast because their song always met my expectations. And I love Winner songs too, I don't know exactly but I can accept their beat in the song. Like Highlight. But my one and only love is Highlight
that's how I feel about BTS.. it seems to me that you guys are a little biased against them or other popular groups, but its okay because we have different opinions. however I think my favorite group has very down to earth members so please don't think that only your favorite group has personalities while other groups are just popular and have nothing else special about them. we find our favorite group special, so don't put down others just BC of their popularity... BTS and other groups started from the bottom too, and they worked hard to reach their success now, so please don't assume that they don't have any personality or that they're just popular for no reason.. people came to love them for their personality, which is why they are so successful as with other groups.. sorry I just had to say my opinion.. I respect yours I just wanted to give a new perspective on things.
For me, what I love the most about Highlight is that they stay true to their belief, that they want to keep doing what they're doing for a long time. And starting over under their own company is the best way to make it possible. They no longer have to wait until their labelmate's promotion ends to have a comeback. They have full freedom of what kind of music to make and when they want to release it. And the members are unproblematic. The way I see it, Highlight have what other groups don't, which is an assurance that they will stay in the music scene for a long time.

Why do I think after they changed their name, no one is giving them the attention they deserve? I mean they are dropping great bops and they are still the same Beast but with a different group name. And basically, all the title songs they have released so far carry the same message which isnto be happy and everything gets better. I appreciate their existence.
Aye M that why you need to do some research first🙈...their first comeback as highlight with 'plz dont be sad' actually did so much better than beast past release...no 1 on korean music chart for daily and weekly chart(highlight is the ONLY BOY GROUP who manage to get first on weekly chart) which is even beast cant do that...11 music show win this year..top ten on 2017 top korean album sales (and they are the only old group among trendy and popular third gen group and they actually surpass beast album sales for past two/three years..hihi) i dont think they will achieve all of this if people dont give much attention to them ...
what i meant was, people still call them beast, i know a lot of people who when i mention highlight the go like 'who?' and they i say beast changed their name and they know who they are, i do know that they're extremely well known in korea but like internationally it seems like people seem to forget about them.

I love their over acting. They're so adorable. I have been having a hard time these past few days, dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts. However listening to this song cheered me up a bit and the lyrics made me a feel a whole lot better. The line "I often hate the world but I try to live and laugh out loud" hit me way too hard. Highlight helped me again T.T I'm thankful to these 5 talented guys, they've never failed in making me happy everytime i listen to their music. Please do support them! It's their 8th anniversary and I really want this comeback to be their best ever! Keep streaming to get the dance and smile versions!

It's been 7 years that I'm a loyal LIGHT and they never fail to amaze me.
They have helped a lot of people with their songs. I didn't really had hard times but everytime I was sad I was listening Beast songs to feel better.
When I say that the only boy group I stan is Highlight people told me "I don't know what they have more than Big Bang or BTS for you to stan them". Popularity is not important for me but the personalities and music are and that's what Highlight have, something that I can't really find in other groups.
I tried to get into other groups but aside their musics I couldn't really find a group that made me feel at ease like I'm with Highlight, maybe Winner I'm waiting to know more about them since I find that there is some similitaries between those 2 groups :)
So don't worry HIGHLIGHT I will be a LIGHT till the end even though I'm the last fan ❤
I agree with you. It is their personalities that I like Highlight. Before I had fallen into any other group, i have been to a concert (wont mention the band name) which they have one of the biggest fandom. Their concert was really great with performances, but that was it. But then i went to a Beast’s fanmeeting. Although the scale was smaller, it was different. but i did feel that Beast/Highlight really love their fans. As they were singing and dancing, the members made eye contacts to their fans and smiled so many times. They looked at their fans adorably... also, when they did the talk it was very touchy. Since then i am very attached to Highlight and no regret for start liking them. The more i know about them, they are angels 👼
I can't really go to other idols 😂 I love highlight/beast because their song always met my expectations. And I love Winner songs too, I don't know exactly but I can accept their beat in the song. Like Highlight.
But my one and only love is Highlight
that's how I feel about BTS.. it seems to me that you guys are a little biased against them or other popular groups, but its okay because we have different opinions. however I think my favorite group has very down to earth members so please don't think that only your favorite group has personalities while other groups are just popular and have nothing else special about them. we find our favorite group special, so don't put down others just BC of their popularity... BTS and other groups started from the bottom too, and they worked hard to reach their success now, so please don't assume that they don't have any personality or that they're just popular for no reason.. people came to love them for their personality, which is why they are so successful as with other groups..
sorry I just had to say my opinion.. I respect yours I just wanted to give a new perspective on things.
For me, what I love the most about Highlight is that they stay true to their belief, that they want to keep doing what they're doing for a long time. And starting over under their own company is the best way to make it possible. They no longer have to wait until their labelmate's promotion ends to have a comeback. They have full freedom of what kind of music to make and when they want to release it. And the members are unproblematic. The way I see it, Highlight have what other groups don't, which is an assurance that they will stay in the music scene for a long time.
