06:45 I've noticed a slight error. "When stitching the outline try to stay one stitch away from your stitches....."
I think it was meant to be 'When cutting out the ornament, try to stay one stitch away from your stitches....'!

I only discovered Caterpillar Cross Stitch yesterday and I have been stitching for almost ten years now! I absolutely love your videos, they give me so much inspiration! I make keyrings using plastic aida and the thimble is definitely a good idea, my poor finger I use to push the needle through the fabric/plastic is still recovering weeks after I did my last keyring without a thimble.

That's wonderful to hear. Thank you for your kind words! Hopefully your finger is fully recovered soon :)

I'm doing my first ever plastic canvas ornaments and your video is very helpful. My question is - where did you get that great thimble?

Thank you so much for watching Cathy 😊 we’re so glad you found it helpful! ☺️
It’s technically called Needle Grabbers by Prym, I got mine off Amazon. Because it’s silicone, it gives me enough freedom to move the finger but not cause any uncomfortable feeling. It’s not a perfect thimble because it has holes in it (hence needle grabber) but it’s the only one that feels comfortable wearing. Just wanted to give you a little disclaimer!

I made 6 ornaments on plastic canvas for Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I still have to back them. I wasn’t sure how. But now I do thanks to this video.

Thanks so much for the video, I can't wait to start mine! I'm being dumb though, I don't understand the in and out cutting round the edges, can anyone explain please?

I bought a sheet of white foam instead of felt by accident. Will this be ok to use still though?

It's such a great material to use for ornaments, isn't it! Love the idea of using it for fridge magnets too 😍
