Sick video! Wish you had an over head view to I can see the menu stuff. Yet it was actually nice to have to work my brain and listen to your voice instructions instead of look at the menu screen through my screen. So you have each track sequence set up to two rows of pads. How many rows / tracks sequences can you make in total on the MPC One? If you arrange the sequences with your external synths, can you rec out to DAW each layer separately while jamming live? Or is it only one master out?
Hi Jana, I’m the studio I’ll record tracks separately if I needed to. Most often I’ll record the full two track and leave it at that. I try to stay as close to the jam as I can to not lose that moment. I can do 16 songs of each 8 sequences creating intros, drops and transitions within those 8 sequences. I use the MPC Live for that
The switch to the pad 9 from pad 8 was very abrupt though without the kick, maybe a LFP or HPF before to decrease the volume and energy would be a good idea at the point?
Great video, I was wondering how you have the minitaur, model D and tetra getting the midi note and patch change information? Is it alls ent form the MPC as that's how i have mine set. Currently trying to organise a live set with similar gear so really interested to know how you go about this. Thanks for the great videos
Thanks for this video. Very interesting topic. At the beginning you talk about the Octatrack and the Live. What role does the Octa play in this scenario? Cheers Frank
Hi Frank, as you may know the Octa does more than a few things differently from other sequences. So for themes, chops, repeats, filter cuts etc. I prefer to have that handled by the Octa and have the MPC act as Drumtrigger/Sequencer.

Thanks for the video! I got an MPC three weeks ago and I just got to the point where I am trying to figure out how to transition between songs.
Glad it was helpful!

Binnenkort kijkje in de Kitchen? Workshop of iets dergelijks in de toekomst 😁
If you're interested in doing a workshop? Hit me up or drop a PM?
Helder verhaal! Heb toevallig vorige week een model D afgeschaft. Heerlijk!
Thanks for replying, Waves! It's a machine huh? It surprises me how Behringer got it right.. I'm praying and hoping for the Jupiter 8 clone
Is it possible to be more fluid with your live set i.e. not plan the order of tracks/sequences ahead of the gig?
Check the Q&A video as I’ve added this question
Cool video as always! How do you change your sounds between the tracks? Do you send prgram changes on the first sequence of the new track?
Hahahaa. You must be telepathic. I’m actually planning this exact topic for in a few weeks time!
@@AnalogKitchen yeah 😅 that is a question i have no real answer at the moment while planning to do larger sets...
Hang in there. It’s coming
What does the MIDI controller on top controls? I see you remove the kick with it. Does it controls the drums of the MPC?
It’s midi mapped to the MPC live. But as this is an older vid, you should check out some current content!

Thanks for the great videos
Hi Shea! It’s all coming from the MPC. I’ll do a vid in my workflow soon! Cheers for commenting!
This is awesome!! Do you know if a setup like this could work with MPC ONE? Also, did you make the music with the MPC LIVE?
Hi John, I will check if a setup like this would work with the ONE. I prepare grooves and loops ITB but create the music on the hardware.
