Had not not missed 5 races with a broken hand he would most likely be still racing. Thats 5 races to get used to to a car and tune it to suit you better let alone obtain some points...I think the way it has been handled is just downright disgusting, disrespectful and simply unnecessarily offensive to him. Love him or hate him that was a very poor way to let a driver go.
I was going through a rough time last year and didn't quite follow Ric's injury or post injury races.... Thanks to your comment, I went back and looked it up and you're right, he deserved better. That being said, I hope he knows he's adored around the world and doesn't give up racing. Yes, the world is cruel, but he still won several GPs and he should be proud of what he did achieve, and he is allowed to be sad at his circumstances. You go Danny boii!!!!
Ricciardo will be missed that's for sure. I wonder if Red Bull, now that they have almost no chance in the constructors due to Perez having poor form and both McLaren drives bringing in great points, will try to sacrifice Checo's race to get the fastest lap point of Norris for Max to win.
